Whoosh you were here! The amazing head-cam video of rider zooming down 2,000ft waterslide - the LONGEST in the world
- Action Park in New Jersey has built a gigantic summer waterslide
- The inflatable slide took 600 hours to construct and lasts over a minute
- The Guinness Book of Records awarded the accolade on Friday
The fun just goes on and on and on at Action Park in New Jersey - and there's an exhilarating video to prove it.
The park has created the world's longest waterslide that it hopes to open to the public in the near future.
The incredible 2,000ft inflatable experience was crowned the longest of its kind in the world by the Guinness Book of Records on Friday, and is set to give Action Park guests the ride of their lives.
One amusement park in New Jersey agreed that bigger is definitely better and created the world's longest water slide, hoping to open to the public in the near future
The slide is made of 10,000-feet of PVC plastic (PVC stands for poly vinyl chloride), the same material used in bouncy castles
The whopping slide took 600 man-hours to stitch and assemble. There are nearly six million stitches altogether – and each one has the strength to hold 25 pounds
Park employees tested the ride on Friday, but now Action Park has to get ride certification from the State of NJ DCA in order to proceed with the opening
The whopping slide consists of twenty 100-foot long sections, each weighing 600 lbs, equivalent to the weight of two fridges.
It took 600 man-hours to construct the colossal slide, which is made of the same PVC plastic used in bouncy castles.
While the average waterslide takes between 10-30 seconds, this extreme bonanza allows riders to enjoy the exhilarating experience for one to one and a half minutes, depending on the individual.
Of course the slide uses an enormous amount of water, around 1,000 gallons per hour, which is provided by Mountain Creek Resort's Snowmaking System.
Sadly the new water slide doesn't yet have a name and it is not yet open for the public to try.

The extreme ride was built and brought to Action Park by New Zealander and Slide Owner Jimi Hunt of the Live More Awesome Foundation.
Hunt had no prior experience creating inflatable waterslides before tackling this record-breaking challenge.
The mission of the slide and the Live More Awesome Foundation is to raise awareness for mental health and promote positivity with unusual initiatives and events.
'The waterslide gives us a platform to be able to inspire people to take control of their mental health and let them realise that it's ok to ask for help,' he said.
'Plus, it's hard to be sad when you're riding a 2,000ft waterslide!'

The Action Park has a reputation for housing some of the most extreme water rides, and is even home to the world's tallest and only double-looping drop box water slide, called Zero G.
The company shut its doors in 1996, but was later sold and rebranded as Mountain Creek.
However, the park reopened last summer with its original name and owners, and is making waves with its new experiences.
