Ben Affleck may no longer be in the company of estranged wife Jennifer Garner but he still count on the former couple's dog.

On Tuesday, the Batman star - once again without his wedding ring - was spotted looking somber while accompanied by the Affleck-Garner family's German Shepherd.

The 42-year-old actor - who recently announced that his 10-year marriage is over - stepped out in Beverly Hills looking somber as he headed to his office with the canine.

Teaming a cream coloured sweater and white with dark jeans, Ben kept it laid back and casual for the outing.

The Gone Girl star looked a little scruffy and unshaven but covered his eyes with stylish sunglasses.

The actor made no effort to hide his left hand like his did on his arrival at the comic convention in San Diego on Saturday.

During that appearance, the father-of-three tucked his hand into his jeans pocket as he greeted fans outside but later revealed it when he sat at a panel event for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

The award-winning star has been promoting the action flick alongside co-stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams.

Is that a smile? Ben cracked a small grin while looking at his pooch

Ben appeared relaxed during the Q&A as he talked about taking on the role of Batman revealing that he was nervous about playing the iconic character.

He said: 'If I had thought too hard about the actors who had played this part before, I couldn't have taken the job...I talked to Zack [Snyder] about it, I was like, "Are you sure?" And he was like, "I have this vision and this idea for the guy and you're perfect for it,"'

'I said, "Well, what do you mean?" And he said, "He's at the end of his rope, he's older, burning out."'

New reports about the high profile couple's impending divorce say 'Affleck had a hard time meeting Garner's expectations of him as a husband,' reports People.

Just one day after their ten year wedding anniversary, Jen and Ben made their split known to the public with an official joint statement.
