The grinning actor's shirt had dirt from filming when he met with his fans, who waited beneath the sun armed with hats and sunglasses.

Clearly a natural charmer, Tom happily wrapped his arm around several spectators, who were no doubt thrilled for a rare opportunity to mingle with the actor.

Tom's assistant Emily stood idly by sporting her ever-present backpack, as well as a pair of black leggings, and a white T-shirt.

However, Tom's rep refuted the rumour to Gossip Cop.

When Tom wasn't in Emily's company on Sunday, the actor sprung into action for Mena.

The actor filmed a jam-packed scene with co-star Jesse Plemons beside a wrecked and smoky airplane.

Tom appeared perplexed as he crouched on the floor, while Jesse approached him with a concerned expression.

In Mena, Tom plays real-life drug smuggler Barry Seal, a 280-pound father-of-three nicknamed 'El Gordo' (Spanish for The Fat Man).

Seal was a daredevil pilot who made millions of dollars flying almost 60 tons of cocaine into the US in the 1970s and 1980s before turning federal informant. He died in a hail of bullets at the hands of Colombian hit men.

The film also stars Sarah Wright, 31, as Tom's wife Lucy. Domhnall Gleeson and Jayma Mays also appear in the Doug Liman film, which hits US theaters on January 6, 2017.

While Mena is nearing the end stages of production, Tom recently signed on to a new film project that will surely make his fans overjoyed.

The actor is slated to reprise his iconic character Maverick in the upcoming Top Gun sequel.
