Oscar and Costa had contrasting summers - the former was ruled out of Brazil’s Copa America campaign with a thigh injury he picked up in Chelsea training and instead holidayed in Miami with his wife and young daughter.

Costa, on the other hand, was involved in a bizarre friendly five-a-side futsal tournament in Kuwait earlier this month, in which he scored five goals against Nottingham Forest.

However, the duo are sure to be keen to once again be reunited with their team-mates, including summer signing from Stoke City, Asmir Begovic.
