Parenthood star Peter Krause scores a lead role on new ABC drama the Catch
Since the hit drama series Parenthood commenced its last season in January, lead character Peter Krause has been on the hunt for a new prime-time slot.
Krause, a veteran actor who has appeared in several television series either as a lead character or supporting roles since the early 90's, has apparently scored his next big break.
The-49-year-old actor will join the cast of Shonda Rhimes' latest ABC creation, The Catch, according to TV Line.

Although the role was reportedly cast for Stitchers Damon Dayoub (he played the role in the pilot), Krause has taken his place and will star as villain Keiran Booth.
He will star in the Betsy Beers directed show alongside Mireille Enos, who will play Alice Vaughan, the character the suspense is centered around.
Vaughn is a fraud investigator who becomes a victim herself at the hands of Booth.
Booth’s character is a career-long con man who spends his life getting by on other people’s money --until he meets Enos.

Second time's a charm: Krause reportedly turned down the role as Keiran Booth, but said yes when it was presented to him a second time
Prior to finally taking Dayoub’s place, the Six Feet Under actor reportedly turned down the role but said yes the second time around.
His six-year run starring as Adam Braverman on Parenthood came to an end in January and since then he has reportedly been a hot commodity, receiving offers for un-disclosed lead roles.
Krause will join a cast which includes Jacky Ido, Jay Hayden, Elvy Yost, Alimi Ballard and Rose Rollins.
Six Feet Under: Krause played the role of Nate Fisher on Six Feet Under from all five seasons from 2001 to 2005
If Catch is anything like Shondaland's other Thursday night projects, Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, or How to Get Away With Murder then it will surely be full of drama and suspense.
Set for a mid-season premiere, the series was penned by Hannibal writer, Jennifer Schuura and will feature three top notch producers: Shona Rimes, Besty Beers and JulieAnne Robinson.
He's dating an actress too: Krause has been linked to Parenthood co-star, Lauren Graham since 2010
