Cindy Crawford's daughter is going from 'famous kid' to famous in her own right in no time – and, having already followed in her mother’s modeling footsteps, she’s now one-upped her proud parent by landing a movie role at the tender age of 13.

In the past week, Kaia Gerber has appeared in not one, but two, high-profile fashion magazines, almost immediately upon announcing that she had signed a modeling contract with top agency IMG Models.

And now, on the heels of her shoots for Vogue Italia and French fashion editor Carine Roitfeld's magazine, CR Fashion Book, the precocious progeny of one of the world's biggest supermodels has set her sights on an acting career, with producers confirming her role in upcoming film Sister Cities.

She's got two editorial photo shoots under her belt with Vogue Italia and CR Fashion Book and she just landed an acting gig in the upcoming film, Sister Cities. So it's hard to believe Kaia Gerber is only 13-years-old!

Of course with a mother as good looking as Cindy Crawford, the genetically blessed teen was destined to fill the role of top model just like her mom.

For her debut in stylist Carine Roitfeld's high fashion glossy, Kaia donned a blush toned top from Prada's Fall 2015 collection. The sleeveless number was adorned with large bows on each shoulder as well as a floral and crystal embellishment.

While you can't nab this exact piece just yet, we've rounded up similar looks from the Web to recreate the young beauty's ornate style. Dress is down with denim skinnies and pointy toe pumps and you'll be sharp as a tack!

The indie film - which will be based on a play of the same name - will also star Gossip Girl's Michelle Trachtenberg, Pretty Little Liars' Troian Bellisario, and Stana Katic, who play estranged sisters.

And for anyone who is ready to insist that it's only nepotism that earned Kaia a part in the star-studded movie, the film's director, Sean Hanish, is claiming otherwise.

'Kaia blew me away in her audition. Her instincts and maturity are impressive for her age,' he told People. 'I’m thrilled to cast her and very excited to direct her in her film debut. She has a very bright future.'

She's also certainly doing a good job at generating buzz, as this announcement came just hours after the CR Fashion Book Instagram page shared shots of Kaia posing in its September issue.

In the first shot, the young teenager is laying down in an embellished pink dress layered over a striped sweater, with a set of multicolor stars applied to her upper cheek below cat eye liner. Shot by legendary photographer Bruce Weber and styled by Carine herself, the modeling world beginner already looks like a pro.

In another picture, also photographed by Bruce, Kaia sits in front of a car with model Garrett Taber and her own older brother, Presley Gerber. While Presley - who sometimes takes pictures of his little sister for Instagram - is holding two cameras, it's Kaia's outfit that steals focus. The junior fashionista wears green platform boots, leopard leggings, a beaded skirt, and a Versace sweatshirt.

Last week, Kaia made what was proclaimed as her modeling debut as she posed for a spread in Vogue Italia.

'Now representing: @KaiaGerber. Welcome to the family!' IMG announced on the agency's Instagram page .

The company shared two black-and-white images of Kaia shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, in which the young model poses in a shirt, tie, and peacoat, as well as a fuzzy leopard jacket.

'Unreal,' Kaia wrote on Twitter and Instagram alongside the leopard jacket snap, which featured a beauty look created by celebrity make-up artist Pat McGrath.

As any proud mother would, Cindy also took to Instragram to share one of the beautiful photos, captioning it: 'Guess I better watch my back... Love this shot of @KaiaGerber by #StevenMeisel for @VogueItalia!'

While this was indeed Kaia's first grown-up modelling gig, it was not actually the only time she has posed professionally - in 2012, she was the face of Versace's children's line and Donatella herself said she had her mother's 'very special gift'.

In 2006, Kaia also modeled children’s bikinis by Melissa Odabash. At the time, the photos caused a bit of a controversy, as the then five-year-old was shot topless, staring over her shoulder with a temporary tattoo on her lower back.

Many critics called the pictures inappropriate. Cindy fired back, claiming it was 'just a fun little photo shoot' and not the beginning of Kaia's modeling career - but the snaps were promptly scrubbed from the Melissa Odabash website.

In the following years, Cindy wanted her doppleganger daughter to take it slow before following in her famous footsteps. In fact, she even told the Daily Front Row that she would have liked Kaia to wait until she was 17 to truly enter the business.

But it seems that now Cindy has finally let Kaia, who is her second child with husband Rande Gerber, fully commit to her dream career.

'She doesn’t want me to start a career too young,' Kaia told Teen Vogue late last year. 'She started modeling when she was 16, but that world is very different now.'

Even if she was reluctant to let go, Cindy still didn't unleash Kaia on the industry unprepared. She's given her daughter some tips for handling herself in the modeling world - and she would know, seeing as how Forbes named Cindy the highest-paid model in 1995.

'She knows so much about it,' Kaia, who has an older brother, Presley, 16, explained. 'I think it would be hard for her to be on set and not say things like, "Psst, Kaia, put your elbow up."'

And her mom isn't the only supermodel she can turn to for advice. The gorgeous tween said that she grew up surrounded by women like Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Linda Evangelista - though when she was younger, she hadn't yet realized how iconic these ladies were.

Kaia is also friends with up-and-coming It Girl Bella Hadid, who she calls 'Da Baby Bells'.
