'I don't get laid half as much!': Amy Schumer reveals she's not exactly like her Trainwreck character... as she promotes movie in New York

Her new comedy Trainwreck hits movie theatres this Friday.

And while it would be easy to assume that Amy Schumer - with her bawdy stand-up routines - is just like her boozy and promiscuous on-screen character, the actress is keen to point out the differences.

The 34-year-old actress explained to the Toronto Sun: 'We got real close. I don't drink that much. I mean, I drink. I don't take shots and like, black out! And I don't get laid half as much. Not even a quarter.'

'But other than that, other than the embellishment of the sexual activity and the intake of sort of, ah, narcotics and alcohol, that's all real.'

The Inside Amy Schumer star explained that her Trainwreck character is closest to who she was in college as a sophomore.

'I was just spreading myself really thin. You know, at college, you go to a bar or a party and it's so packed, so awful, that you have to drink your way through it - like, the only way it could be fun would be to join them, and get yourself really drunk?

Steal Amy's style in strappy heels by Narciso Rodriguez

Her forthcoming film might be called Trainwreck, but Amy Schumer is definitely on the right track when it comes to style.

The comedian, writer, actress and all-round genius made an appearance in New York wearing a bright V-neck pink dress. But it was her strappy heels that really made her stand out!

They're by Narciso Rodriguez, one of Amy's favorite designer labels and we love the contrast between the snake heel and black cut out ankle strap. A simple and understated style, they are the perfect heels to pair with any ensemble. So it will come as no surprise that this isn't the first time she has been spotted wearing them!

Unfortunately these exact sandals are now sold out, but click (right) to buy them in classic black at Farfetch. Or strap yourself in with the help of the high street heels we've found for you in the edit below. You can't go wrong with the Michael Kors edition that are practically identical.

'And I think that could be a metaphor for everything else, because I just can't get myself into that mindset to enjoy things it seems most people can. I think I'm an introvert.'

Amy was promoting the movie - which she stars in alongside Bill Hader, Tilda Swinton and LeBron James - at Apple Store Soho's event Meet The Filmmaker in New York on Monday.

The native New Yorker looked super glam in a cleavage-baring pastel pink knee-length dress with ankle-strap stilettos.

Amy plays herself in the Judd Apatow-directed flick as a magazine writer who grew up believing that monogamy was unrealistic.

She lives her life free of commitment indulging in booze-fueled one-night-stands until she ends up falling for sports doctor Aaron Conners (Hader).
