Thinking pink! Former blonde Jenny McCarthy debuts magenta hair on Instagram before heading to The Today Show
They say blondes have more fun but Jenny McCarthy is here to prove that it may be another, brighter hue that does it better.
The 41-year-old former Playboy model revealed her new hot pink locks on Tuesday via Instagram and her more than 400,000 followers seemed to love her new do.
McCarthy was in New York City to appear on The Today Show to promote her the new season of Donnie Loves Jenny, her reality show with her husband Donnie Wahlberg, 45.

Mrs. Wahlberg took a break from her Sirius satellite radio show, Dirty, Sexy, Funny to chop it up with Today hosts, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford and she looked radiant in her all black ensemble and pop of brightness thanks to her new hair.
‘This morning I woke up and I said, "I’m feeling pink,"' Jenny told the hosts.
The mother of one who known for her signature blonde tresses, showcased her magenta look prior to going on live TV in close-up profile picture, or selfie she shared on Instagram.
Her hot pink hue contrasted nicely with her green eyes.

She teased her followers with her caption. ‘No #DSF on@siriusxm today. Tune into the@todayshow with @klgandhoda though. I've got something to show you! #donnielovesjenny,’ she wrote.
Minutes later she posted a wide shot of her getting her hair and make-up done.
In this photo, Jenny was sitting down while her hair stylist and colorist Julius Michael adding the finishing touches to her new do.

Her makeup was equally stunning.Celebrity makeup artist Priscilla DiStasi decided to give McCarthy a natural look using various products from Elf cosmetics, eye-brow queen Anastasia Beverly Hills, and Mac Cosmetics, among others.
The look added highlights to and bronzer to the actress’s cheek bones for a striking contour.
DiStasi finished the look with a glossy nude lip.

Apparently McCarthy pink locks do not consist 100 percent of the actress’s natural hair, Michael’s let it slip in a behind the scenes photo which he shared on Instagram that he was adding hair extensions to the do.
The hair transformation went down at 5 a.m. EST and seemingly took a little more than an hour to get McCarthy washed, blown , colored and cut before her Today Show appearance.

Jenny is promoting season two of her A&E reality show staring herself and her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, who she married in August 2014.
Donny Loves Jenny will center around the lovebirds and slated to premiere on July 15.
Although she said she was ready to become Mrs. Jenny Wahlberg back in February, her husband seemed to disagree.

'It should be Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and professionally, Jenny McCarthy,' Wahlberg told E! News.
'She worked her a** off for so many years to be in the position she's in her career that there's no reason to put my name on the back of that.'
Due to conflicting schedules McCarthy has not had the chance to file the paper work in order to have her name legally changed.
'We work seven days a week and it's not as easy as I thought,' McCarthy said. 'You don't just go to the DMV and take a new picture. There is a lot to be done.'
