She has been working hard hitting the studio and writing more material for her latest album.

And on Tuesday Rihanna was seen leaving late night in New York after yet another recording session.

The 27-year-old sported her new flame haired curls in a high ponytail as she headed out into the balmy evening.

Wearing a pair of gold hoop earrings, the singer who has been working on her latest batch of songs , wore an unusual monochrome dress which featured bold graphic prints on the pattern.

They appeared to be either album or magazine covers of some kind.

The dress featured a large knot, around the chest, which made it look as if it was tied over a white T-shirt.

She carried a silver bag over her shoulder and wore platform sandals showing off her bare legs to complete the look.

She released the explicit clip to BBHMM online last week.

And her latest track's violent feature-film styled video has already garnered over 8 million views, causing a storm over its themes and imagery.

Rihanna co-directed the racy video with the French collective MegaForce and it also co-stars Eric Roberts, Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen as well as Supermodel Rachel Roberts.

During the seven minute long movie Canadian beauty Rachel is kidnapped, stripped naked and then tortured by the Umbrella singer.

And though critics have lambasted the pop star for the video, she shows no sign of slowing down her prolific singing career.
