Long and the short of it! Jennifer Lopez dons billowing green pants as she arrives to Shades Of Blue set sporting her new 'do

Jennifer Lopez couldn't part with her trusty mug as she arrived on to the Manhattan set of Shades Of Blue on Wednesday morning.

The Home actress - who turns 46 next week - added a boost to her 5ft5in frame with glamorous three-inch platforms. 

The American Idol judge was dressed in character as single mother/Detective Harlee Santos in green wide-leg trousers, a white scoopneck top, and a trench coat.

But the Boy Next Door star - who normally rocks top-buns or waist-length hair extensions - sported a nearly identical bob as far back as December.

Jennifer has been filming the 13-episode NBC drama, on which she also serves as executive producer, since June 4.
