He's one of Hollywood's most renowned actors with a string of blockbusters tucked under his belt.

But that doesn't mean Joe Manganiello isn't partial to a stern talking to every now and then, and who best to dish out the words of wisdom than Australia's very own Nonna Paola.

The hilarious grandmother sat down with the 38-year-old star earlier this week to lecture him about marriage and give him some advice ahead of his wedding to his beautiful fiancee Sofía Vergara.

The internet sensation, who was a guest interviewer for KIIS 101.1, began to chat by wishing the Magic Mike XXL star 'all the happiness,' before she ordered him to stay with his wife for life.

She said in a broken Italian accent: 'You stick with your wife because your wife, it's first. Whatever she do, you forgive her... 

'Marriage today is like weather. Today it's hot, tomorrow it's cold. After tomorrow wind. It changes.'

But the US hunk wasn't able to finish his sentence as Nonna cut him off with an abrupt statement.

'And forgive one another,' she exclaimed in a loud tone.

She then stepped the chat up a notch when she brought children into it the scenario, telling Joe it's vital that he loves his wife and his children. 

Clearly unfazed by Nonna's lecture, Joe concluded by thanking her for the advice.

Nonna Paola is Paola Lachimia. She hails from the Melbourne suburb of Sunshine and is a grandmother-of-five, who has become a big hit in Australia in recent months.

The 78-year-old’s straight-forward manner and no-nonsense approach to life, coupled with her sense of humour and Italian-English accent, made her an online craze earlier this year.

Nonna Paola migrated to Australia from Calabria in Italy when she was just 19, and the grandmother went viral online thanks to her son Greg who uploaded hilarious videos of conversations with her to his Facebook.

Meanwhile, Joe and Sofia, 42, got engaged in December last year, following six months of dating, in Spain and have reportedly set a date for their wedding but are remaining tight-lipped on the details.

The US actor recently admitted he is keen to become a dad, but would respect Sofia if she said no to having more [she already has a teenage son from her previous marriage to Joe Gonzalez].

He told Haute Living Magazine: 'I have always wanted to be a dad; I've always wanted kids. I've always been open about that.'

The True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello previously dated model Bridget Peters.
