Diamonds have long been said to be a girl's best friend, but a hypnotic new video of Mila Kunis dripping in rubies is certain to change that.

In a nearly three minute short film by Gemfields, the 31-year-old showed off her cherry red jewellery while caressing her face.

Directed by Jeff Burton, scenes flickered between Mila and the precious gemstones.

Mila, who was announced as the brand ambassador of the gemstone producer in 2013, was a sight to behold in the haunting new video.

The actress sported a pair of long chandalier earrings, as well as a set of pint-sized ruby studs at another point in the short film.

She then tenderly let her fingers linger along a glittering necklace.

The captivating video was produced by Gemfields to recognise their new responsibly sourced rubies, which hail from the province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique.

In the clip, Mila models accessories designed by the likes of Fabergé, Georg Jensen, Spinelli Kilcollin, and others, according to the Gemfields website.

The website adds that the video was created to examine the captivating features of the rare gemstones.

In addition to her role with the company, Mila has been enjoying a fortunate personal life.

The actress and Ashton Kutcher celebrated their marriage with a bang on the Fourth of July by holding a garden party.

An eyewitness told E! that the smitten couple embraced and kissed each other, and were cordial with fans at the restaurant.
