A shocking video has emerged that shows a Planned Parenthood doctor discussing the sale of body parts taken from aborted fetuses with who she believes to be potential buyers from a medical company.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who has been the Senior Director of Medical Services at Planned Parenthood Federation of America since February of 2009, is seen on camera as she discusses selling hearts, lungs, livers and even the muscles of aborted fetuses.

She also discusses using 'partial-birth abortion' techniques to deliver some of these organs intact.

Actors posed as buyers in an undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood done by The Center for Medical Progress, and they discussed purchasing organs with Dr. Nucatola at a lunch in California in July 2014.

Dr. Nucatola is seen eating a salad and drinking wine as she lists the organs that sell the best, noting that many individuals are looking to purchase livers.

'I would say it’s probably around $30 to $100, depending on the facility and what’s involved,' Dr. Nucatola says of the prices for each organ.

The actors claimed they were from a human biologics company.

'How much of a difference can that actually make, if you know kind of what’s expected, or what we need?' asks one of the actors posing as a potential buyer.

'It makes a huge difference,' says Dr. Nucatola.

'I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.

We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact

'The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium - the head - is basically the biggest part.'

Ultrasound guidance is a technique that is used in legal abortions, but many individuals in the pro-life movement contend that this practice is frequently used for illegal 'partial-birth abortions.'

The term 'partial-term abortion' it should be noted is not one that was coined by medical professionals, but rather the National Right to Life Committee in 1995, and it is not accepted as a medical term by the American Medical Association or the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

It involves removing the entire fetus intact from a woman by dilating the cervix and then delivering the body through the birth canal.

The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 that was passed by Congress and signed into law by President George Bush made this practice illegal, and in 2007 the Supreme Court upheld the law in a 5-4 vote.

The law reads; 'Any physician who, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, knowingly performs a partial-birth abortion and thereby kills a human fetus shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.'

Dr. Nucatola continued to detail the extraction process with the actors posing as buyers at her lunch, and how one can make sure not to damage any of the fetal organs during an abortion.

'We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,' explains Dr. Nucatola to the buyers posing as actors.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD STATEMENT

In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different.

At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does — with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards.

There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or Planned Parenthood. In some instances, actual costs, such as the cost to transport tissue to leading research centers, are reimbursed, which is standard across the medical field.

A well-funded group established for the purpose of damaging Planned Parenthood’s mission and services has promoted a heavily edited, secretly recorded videotape that falsely portrays Planned Parenthood’s participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research.

Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades. These groups have been widely discredited and their claims fall apart on closer examination, just as they do in this case.

'And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex.

'So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end.'

The issue of selling fetal organs is then discussed, and the possible problems it presents, to which Dr. Nucatola tells the actors posing as buyers; 'At the national office, we have a Litigation and Law Department which just really doesn’t want us to be the middle people for this issue right now.

'But I will tell you that behind closed doors these conversations are happening with the affiliates.'

The video ends with Cecile Richards praising the work of Dr. Nucatola, calling her 'amazing.'

This section of the video was shot undercover and in passing at the Planned Parenthood gala this past March, and Richards does not acknowledge or speak at all about the sale of fetal organs or acknowledge the conversation Dr. Nucatola had with the actors posed as buyers months earlier.

Richards, the daughter of former Texas Governor Ann Richards, has been the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America since 2006.

The Center for Medical Progress claims this is the first part of a series exploring the 'illegal trafficking of aborted fetal parts' by Planned Parenthood.

The group says it has been working on this for the past three years.

'Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization,' claims David Daleiden, who is leading the project.

'Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.'

Speaking with DailyMail.com, Daleiden added; 'We have dozens of hours of shocking undercover footage with top-level Planned Parenthood executives and doctors that will be released in the coming days and weeks.'

The Center also posted video of the entire meeting with Dr. Nucatola online, which lasted almost three hours.

Planned Parenthood said in a statement; 'At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does — with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards.
