Eliminated Bachelorette contestant JJ Lane rushed to hospital after being attacked by gang as he left show after-party

There's been more drama swirling around The Bachelorette.

J.J. Lane, 32, was taken to hospital after a brawl at the cast and crew after-party on Saturday night, after filming the 'Men Tell All' episode.

The former investment banker - who was eliminated from the show two weeks ago - was left with two black eyes after he and a crew member were jumped by 'a gang' when leaving the party in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

Lane was attacked by at least five men, who he believes were a gang.

The attackers landed multiple swings at his face during the brutal fight.

Terrified onlookers ran back into the party to grab former brawny contestant Ben Zorn, who dashed outside and broke up the fight, according to the website.

Lane was taken to the emergency room after the attack over fears he may have had a concussion, the gossip site reports.

The incident was not reported to police by Lane or anyone else involved, according to the website.

The business owner and father-of-one was eliminated by Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, 30, three weeks ago, after confessing that he had cheated on his ex-wife.

Lane was known as one of this season's 'Brokeback Bachelors', drawing attention for his close bromance with fellow contestant Clint Arlis.

The pair joked to the cameras about falling in love and even showering together, and often seemed more interested in quality time with one another than chasing after Bristowe.

The buddies eventually had a falling out before engineer Arlis was booted off the show.

Lane also seemed to enjoy being known as the villain on this season, at one point saying he was the 'most hated' man in The Bachelorette house.

He was also infamous for telling comedian Amy Schumer that he came across poorly on the dating show because he was 'too smart for like 90 per cent of the audience'.

Quick-witted Schumer, who appeared on the show to help the contestants work on a comedy routine, quickly assured Lane his smarts were not the issue.

'JJ's a sweetheart, he's just missing charisma and humility and a sense of humour,' she deadpanned to the camera.

The confident contestant was eliminated by Bachelorette Bristowe after dramatically confessing to destroying his marriage by cheating on his ex-wife.

While Bristowe claimed to appreciate his honesty, Lane failed to get a rose and was booted from the show after the emotional Bachelorette admitted that marrying a cheater was her 'worst nightmare.'

However, the egotistical entrepreneur will get another chance at reality TV love, signing on to appear on summer show Bachelor in Paradise.

Tanner Tolbert, who was also eliminated in this season of The Bachelorette, will also be on the show.

The Bachelorette's 'Men Tell All' episode will air on ABC on Monday night. The finale, where Bristowe will choose between bitter enemies Nick Viall and Shawn Booth, will air on July 27.
