Florida man who sleeps in his car outside Mark Zuckerberg's San Francisco mansion calling his bodyguards 'slaves' and 'monkeys' is jailed for violating 500-yard restraining order

  • William 'Gordon' Kinzer, 61, moved to San Francisco from Florida in May
  • He sleeps in his car outside Facebook CEO's home harassing guards
  • Court papers say he calls them 'monkeys' and Zuckerberg a 'terrorist'
  • A 500-yard restraining order against him was approved on July 8
  • But he has violated it twice and is now spending 85 days in jail

This is the man who sleeps outside Mark Zuckerberg's $10 million mansion shouting threats and abuse at his bodyguards.

William Gordon Kinzer, who is homeless, moved to San Francisco from his native Florida in May, and has not left the Facebook CEO's idyllic tree-lined street.

The 61-year-old former accountant spends his days harassing Zuckerberg's 10 security guards, calling them 'monkeys' and 'slaves', and asking them: 'How does it feel to work for a thug?', according to court papers.

After weeks of abuse, San Francisco Superior Court approved a workplace violence restraining order on July 8, which bans Kinzer from coming within 500 yards of the property on Fair Oaks Street.

However, the next day he was arrested for violating the order, and on Tuesday he was arrested the second time for approaching the house at 8.48am, police told Daily Mail Online. He was jailed for 85 days.

Kinzer's college classmate Bill Kennedy, who lives 166 yards from Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, told Mission Local his old friend arrived in San Francisco a few months ago, saying he was homeless and needed a place to stay.

Kennedy said he gave Kinzer a room, but the 61-year-old often preferred to sleep in his car.

He wasn't aware of the situation until he was arrested, Kennedy said, but implores Zuckerberg's lawyers to have mercy on him as he is 'mentally disturbed'.

'Gordon doesn't have any malice in his body,' said Kennedy. 'No one's ever heard of a 1500 foot restraining order ever. Even for battery or domestic violence cases, it's only a few hundred feet.'

According to the guards, who filed their complaint via Facebook Inc, Kinzer said: 'I have threatened people in Texas, you will see, I am smarter than [your boss], he is a Terrorist.'

In papers read by Mission, Ramon Alcantar, 44, said: 'I am concerned for my safety, as I believe Kinzer is unstable based on his actions and statements.'

He added: 'Kinzer’s demeanor appears to be getting more aggressive each time he contacts me, which has caused me to be concerned for my safety.'

Another guard, 47-year-old Keith Jacobs, wrote: 'Kinzer walked up to the driver door [of my vehicle] and said, "Stay in the car monkey! You’re just a slave. How does it feel to work for a thug?"'

Neighbors have rallied around the guards, saying they feel safer with them around.

Their support is something of a surprise given their virulent anger when Zuckerberg and Chan moved into the neighborhood.

The billionaire couple spent 17 months doing up their quaint tree-lined home, then spent more than $1.5 million adding new bathrooms, a wine room, a 'wet bar', and a 'media room', the San Francisco Chronicle reported last year.

The construction, involving 40 to 50 workmen, took more than a year to complete.
