Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have both been wearing their wedding bands even though they announced in June they would be filing for divorce.

Turns out the 42-year-old Batman v Superman actor and the 43-year-old Dallas Buyers Club star are doing it for the sake of their three children, Violet, aged nine, Seraphina, aged six, and Samuel, aged three, according to a Wednesday report from People. 'The kids are a big part of why they're still wearing them,' a source told the weekly.

Garner, who was married to Scott Foley before she fell for Affleck on the set of Daredevil, wants Ben's involvement with the little ones.

'Her main focus right now is that Ben will be there for the kids - and he has been this week,' said the source. 'She's happy that the kids are happy.'

It was also noted that they are hoping sharing their Pacific Palisades property works out well. The ex of Jennifer Lopez is re-doing a wing of the house to call his own.

Affleck has been in California the past several days.

On Saturday he appeared at Comic-Con in San Diego with Henry Cavill and Amy Adams to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which does not come out until 2016. He had his ring on there.

On Tuesday, he was spotted looking somber while accompanied by the Affleck-Garner family's German Shepherd in Beverly Hills. His ring was off during the outing.
