Teddy Sheringham was unable to get one over his old club Tottenham as Stevenage's pre-season preparations ended with a 2-0 defeat at the Lamex Stadium. The ex-Spurs striker, who scored 124 goals in 277 appearances at White Hart Lane, is in his first managerial post with the Sky Bet League Two club and welcomed his former employers for Stevenage's final friendly of the summer.
