Disney's Aladdin has a live-action prequel in the works... but forget Jasmine, it's it's all about the Genie this time around
The Disney re-makes just keep on coming, and the ever-popular Aladdin is the latest children's classic to get a live-action makeover.
Hot on the heels of this year's hugely-successful Cinderella re-make, the new movie will serve as a prequel to the original 1992 animated film, and will explore the Genie's backstory.
The hotly-anticipated flick - which has tentatively been titled Genies - will focus on the realm of the genies and will reveal how Aladdin's beloved blue friend ended up enslaved in the lamp.
