They shocked fans when they split back in 2014.

But it seems Aussie actor, Dominic Purcell and his much younger ex, AnnaLynne McCord are back on.

The 45-year-old father-of-four, who confirmed their relationship had collapsed in December after three yearss, was the subject of a gushing snap on AnnaLynne's Instagram account on Wednesday.

The former 90210 actress actress shared the photograph a day before her 28th birthday of the pair huddled close.

She wrote: '#BirthdayDinner w/ my friend, my love and the one man on the entire planet who drives me absolutely mad.'

The pair looked romantic as they huddled in close behind a decadent birthday dessert with a flickering candle.

The striking blonde looked angelic with her long curly mane pulled up into a loose style.

She also wore a pretty white garment with embroidered petals adorning the delicate fabric.

Dominic, on the other hand, looked dressed down and relaxed.

He stuffed his massive muscles into a tight khaki T-shirt which displayed his bold tattoos.

Opening up about their break-up recently, the actress told People magazine: 'It's horrible. Public breakups are horrible. It's the worst thing on earth. You have to see your man with another woman.

'It's very hard. But I believe suffering is a part of life, and if you take something from it, then you're in a good place.

'I love Dominic,' she added. 'I'll always love him, and we'll always be in each other's lives.'

The actress has had work to keep her mind off of the spilt as she recently starred in the Lifetime film Watch Your Break, which aired in March.

Since then she has only been featured in one minor role for the TV series Not So Union.

Dominic was embroiled in a very public breakup with his most recent girlfriend, Kimmy Breeding in May.

Together just a few short months, the Prison Break star ended their relationship via text message, which Kimmy then posted to social media.

Meanwhile, AnnaLynne was linked to former LA Laker Rick Fox, 45, back in January.
