James Corden unites old and new as he is joined by Rod Stewart and A$AP Rocky for hilarious Carpool Karaoke session
James Corden turned his car into a old school-modern mashup when he invited Rod Stewart and A$AP Rocky for a spot of karaoke.
The actor and chat show host brought in the two artists as part of The Late Late Show's popular Carpool Karaoke segment, filmed in Los Angeles.
Starting out with just him and 70-year-old rock legend in the car, the pair sing the latter's classic tune First Cut Is The Deepest'.

James then asked Rod about his craziest 'rock and roll moment' and the rock legend said:" It was the drinking and s***ging and the drinking and the s***ging!"
Stewart also admitted he would often 'smash up hotel rooms' while with The Faces and revealed the band were once banned from all Holiday Inn hotels.
After moving on to In A Broken Dream, they are joined by surprise 'lifter' A$AP Rocky, who samples Rod's 1972 song for his new track Everyday.
The 36-year-old Late Late Show host is clearly ecstatic to have been joined by the rock legend and A$AP.

'I don't know if I've ever felt as cool as I do in this moment in my life, right now,' a cheerful James says.
'I genuinely don't. To be in a car, in LA, with Rod Stewart and A$AP Rocky, this is the greatest day.'
After the 26-year-old rapper leaves the car, Rod and James also sing Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? and finally Maggie May.
A$AP's appearance on Carpool Karaoke comes just a few weeks after his former fiance Iggy Azalea joined James in the car to chat about her upcoming wedding to Lakers player Nick Young.

Veteran rocker Rod was forced to apologise this week after posing in a £1,795 sealskin jacket in a shop in Newfoundland, Canada ahead of his gig headlining a local festival.
Anti-fur campaigners were outraged after a picture of the ageing rocker wearing the jacket appeared on social media.
The Sailing singer to say he regrets not checking what the coat was made of and was 'upset' to learn the the image was being used as an advertisement for a process 'he does not know much about and certainly does not support.'
