Shop where Ariana Grande licked donuts has its A grade health rating restored after it's revealed the singer won't face charges

The donut store that had its health code rating downgraded after Ariana Grande licked donuts on the counter has been given a reprieve.

TMZ reported Wednesday that Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, has had its A grade restored.

Local officials had downgraded it to a B after the singer's July 4 antics that were caught on video by the store's security cameras.

Ariana's actions were further inflamed by her saying clearly on the video: 'I hate Americans. I hate America.'

The restoration of the A grade follows the news Monday that the 22-year-old star will not be charged for licking the baked goods during a visit to the store with her new boyfriend, backup dancer Ricky Alvarez.

Last Thursday, TMZ had reported that the bakery was told one of the reasons for it not passing the check was down to 'customers licking donuts incorrectly placed on counter.'

At the time the shop owner was pushing for charges to be brought against the singer of 'cross contamination.'

Ariana is not mentioned by name in the report but the site says a manager told the inspector the employee didn't know Ariana had tongued the goods, and 'placed them back in display case for sale.'

An account of the incident came from 22-year-old Mayra Solis, the cashier on duty at the shop who claimed the singer not only didn't purchase any of the donuts she licked but also told the Associated Press: 'She was really rude.'

Perhaps part of the reason for the owners apparent change of heart was the four minute video apology, the Problem hitmaker posted on her YouTube page on Thursday.

She apologized to her fans for her actions and comments about hating America but did not mention the Wolfee Donut shop once in the entire clip.

The Problem hitmaker said: 'I just wanted to make a video to apologize again for the whole doughnut fiasco and craziness because I feel like the apology I posted, I kind of missed my opportunity to actually sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling, because I was too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry, which is not, I feel like, relative.'

She went on to address her comment in the shop about hating Americans as she explained: 'I've actually never been prouder to be an American to be honest with you. The advances that we've made in the past couple months and all the wonderful progressive things that have been going on. Never been prouder of this country actually.'

Ariana went on to explain that the incident was a 'rude awakening' after seeing the video of incident.

The Break Free singer added:  'I was so disgusted with myself, I like wanted to shove my face into a pillow and like disappear, but instead of that I'm going to come forward and own up to what I did and take responsibility and say I'm sorry because I reacted in a way that I feel like wasn't necessary to say the least but also just wasn't me at all.'
