There have been few high-profile red carpets that haven’t been trodden by Hofit Golan’s sky high stilettos over the past few years.

From Cannes to the Oscars and Chiltern Firehouse, the socialite’s face pops up at every opportunity, but little is known about this 30-something starlet.

So who is this glamorous blonde who is invited to every A-List bash in town?

When FEMAIL caught up with Hofit, she had just returned from two weeks in the Galapagos Islands with a friend who chartered a private cruise ship for 100 friends.

This is nothing new for Hofit (who refuses to disclose her age during the interview), and a quick glance at her Instagram page, which has more than 60,000 followers, shows her life as one long five star adventure, jumping from one luxurious destination to the next.

The social media profile sees her expertly coiffed and made-up face cosying up to everyone from Kelly Brook and Cara Delevingne to Michelle Rodriguez - on her last birthday she was pictured being fed cake by the Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.

Whether it's a movie premiere or a front row seat at Milan Fashion week, you can be sure Hofit will be with the A-Listers in the VIP enclosure.

At Cannes Film Festival this year, she appeared to be on every single red carpet in different couture gown.

She told MailOnline: ‘Cannes is a very special, very unreal place where you see people wearing tuxes to go to the grocery store.

‘It’s just this surreal place where you’re going to film premieres, big dinners and charity auctions and meeting these movers and shakers.

‘But it’s insane. People think you’re partying but I’m juggling so many projects.

‘My schedule starts at 9am and I get to bed around 4am, so I get around two hours sleep before I’m up for hair and make-up.

‘It’s fun, but hard and I always lose a lot of weight as you’re going to two or three events a day, so you can go to anything up to 30 events in ten days.

‘Fashion week in Paris and Milan is another of those times. You’re sitting in the front row with A –list actors and afterwards you go for a breakfast burrito in a gown. It’s crazy and surreal.’

‘After Cannes and Fashion Week, I can’t wear earrings and my feet won’t fit into a single pair of heels. My body rejects glamour.

'I don’t brush my hair for ten days and I go on a beauty strike.’

She is equally unfazed by the celebrity company she keeps, in fact, Hofit is quick to point out that she can't abide many stars because of the egos they carry around, although her close gaggle of gal pals like Kelly and Lindsay can't get enough praise.

She said: 'I don't like to name drop. Friends are friends, even if they happen to be famous or royal.

'But I like low maintenance people - people who have bad energy I walk away from as I don’t react well to egos.

'Kelly Brook was in Cannes with me and she’s just a ball of laughs and fun. She's so easy going and low maintenance.

'Even Lindsay Lohan is such a different person to the way she is projected, she actually likes her privacy and time to herself and is a nice regular person.

'Then there's Michelle Rodriguez, who is like hanging out with your best friend from high school - she’s smart, funny, down to earth and doesn’t have an inch of ego.

'These people are no different to anybody else, they just happen to have a job that amplifies who they are.'

But who is Hofit and how did she get into these circles?

Although she is always referred to as Israeli, Hofit spent the vast majority of her childhood in Toronto, Canada.

According to the star, her father’s job in aerodynamics engineering saw them move to Canada from the Middle East when she was very young.

She reveals her mother was a former Navy SEAL who now runs her own health and beauty practice in Toronto, while her brother is a pilot and her sister is an actress who starred in a recent US TV series called A Girl’s Guide to Depravity.

For most of her childhood, Hofit felt like the outcast in Canada – a foreign child in a cold country who was learning a new culture, language and climate.

She sought solace in dance and by 14, she was appearing weekly on a popular 90s Canadian dance TV show called Electric Circus set in a nightclub where big name acts performed.

As well as providing a welcome hobby, the job served to keep Hofit on the straight and narrow while many of her friends became interested in drink and drugs – and she still steers clear of both.

She told FEMAIL: ‘When kids started drinking and doing drugs around me it didn’t appeal.

‘Being a kid from another country, I was trying to catch up on everybody already by learning two new languages and I didn’t really have time for that.

‘By age 14, I was on the dance show and that was great. I danced and hosted a bit of it and toured with the artists and we toured the show - I’d even get fan mail to school which was fun.

‘I met people like Madonna and Janet Jackson who changed the direction of my life at a very young age.

‘Janet Jackson’s team were the reason that I moved away from home to Miami aged 20 for the first time – they let me stay in her house there and I went on tour with them for a little bit.’

At 20, Hofit relocated to Miami where she launched her first business – a local concierge company for tourists.

She also first started working with Fashion TV, an international fashion and lifestyle broadcasting television channel who she stills works for now.

She said: ‘With Fashion TV, we’re 191 countries we have a reach of 400 million people.

‘People want to see beautiful people and be inside celebrity events and because I was going to these events anyway, Fashion TV just put a camera behind me.

‘So going to an event became work and then brands wanted to get involved because they knew they would end up on a red carpet, on TV and in magazines.'

Over the years, Hofit has turned her Fashion TV job into a much bigger role and several years ago she left Miami and started to divide her time between her hometown of Toronto, New York and Kensington in west London.

Networking on the red carpet has led to brand collaborations and she also advises charities, designers and brands on how to get the most coverage in the press and on social media.

She said: ‘Being on the red carpet isn’t just about wearing something, it’s about building a brand.

‘Before I was just a guest but now I can help them with sponsorship, celebrity guests and putting a TV crew a on the red carpet, so it’s not just about going to an event, it’s about so many aspects.’

Hofit doesn’t just work for brands, she says she is juggling several other projects including developing two apps and investing in a clinic in Germany that specialises in stem cell therapy.

She also works with several charities in her spare time, including AmfAR and Caudwell Children.

She said: ‘I need that because working in fashion and TV is exhausting, it’s very vacuous and it drains you.’

Hofit spends a good twenty minutes listing her involvement in various different projects in an effort to dispel the idea that she is just an airhead socialite who spends her life going to parties.

She said: ‘I hate the word socialite. My friends say it’s a compliment but I’ve been working since I was 14 years old.

‘I just don’t post my work life on Instagram because I don’t think that’s what social media is about, it’s supposed to be fun.

‘My most glamorous moment is being at home with an organic salad in front of a TV set watching brain numbing TV.’

While she is keen to point out that she abhors too much glamour, Hofit won’t deny that she still loves dressing up like ‘a princess’.

She said: ‘The dream is to have a house big enough for my wardrobe – I need Buckingham Palace.

‘But I also borrow a lot of dresses. It’s my job to work with these brands and promote their collections - I get paid to do it.

‘I’m very lucky because I get to wear things as soon as they come off the catwalk.

‘I love old school Hollywood looks and I love getting it wrong as much as I get it right. I don’t care at all what people think.’

This glamorous world has its downsides too though. It can be incredibly hard to find someone who is willing to share your jet setting lifestyle, but Hofit has finally found love.

She said: ‘I’ve been seeing someone for nine months - a Geordie boy called Ian.

‘He was a swimmer who swam in the Sydney Olympics and now he’s a music producer who has worked with Tiesto and also an artist who is working on his next gallery exhibition.’

But for anyone who is hoping to follow in her footsteps – Hofit has some words of caution.

She said: ‘You have to ask yourself why, because people who want fame just for the sake of it need to know it brings as much good as it does bad.

‘I never wanted it, it happened to me by complete accident – I actually wanted to be a criminal lawyer. I’ve never even had a manager or agent.

‘I think more than ever, people who have a dream of being in that world have more access than ever thanks to social media - you could be a blogger and then suddenly you’re invited to everything.

‘I think anyone can do what I’m doing. You just need focus.’
