Working up a sweat! David Beckham doesn't miss a beat as he gets stuck into his strict fitness regime at Soul Cycle

He may have retired from the beautiful game, but David Beckham is keeping up his strict fitness regime.

The former footballer, 40, is back in Los Angeles and settling once again into his regular indoor cycling classes. 

He looked relaxed after working up a sweat as he left Soul Cycle in Brentwood on Wednesday morning.

David made sure to hydrate taking on board water and electrolytes after the punishing class finished. 

He showed off his toned physique in a pair of board shorts which gave more than a glimpse of his famous legs. 

The star covered up in a casual black hoodie, and carried his own cycling shoes which clip into the pedals.

Hiding his heavily inked arms, the former Real Madrid mid-fielder looked deep in thought as he left the class alone. 

David, who played the last game of his 20 year career on May 18, 2013, mastered the art of dressing daddy cool in the laid back ensemble as he headed back to his black Range Rover.

The father-of-four was sporting more than a little designer stubble, as he covered his always-stylish locks under a reversed baseball hat.

The former England and Manchester United player has been seen out and about in the City since arriving back during
