'Onwards and upwards!': Calum Best confirms he has split from model girlfriend Ianthe Rose for a SECOND time

Calum Best has confirmed he has split from model girlfriend Ianthe Rose Cochrane-Stack for a second time.

The 34-year-old reality TV personality - who has been dating the former Made In Chelsea star on and off for 10 months - took to his Twitter and Instagram pages on Thursday to tell his fans the couple had parted ways.

Insisting he wishes Ianthe 'nothing but health and happiness', the Celebrity Big Brother runner-up, the son of late football legend George Best, declared he is moving 'onwards and upwards' from the split.

Calum wrote: 'Single man, I wish Ianthe nothing but health and happiness. Amazing times shared but came to an end. Onwards and upwards. Much love.'

The break-up follows claims the lingerie model could no longer tolerate Calum's excessive partying and love of women.

'He promised he'd changed but he's too selfish. She can't stand him anymore,' a source toldThe Sun of their break-up.

'Ianthe dumped Calum when she found him drunk in a hotel room with a load of pals. It was the final straw as she's not prepared to be with someone who won't compromise.'

Despite her upset at finding her British-American beau cosying up to other women inside a hotel room, Calum has claimed there was no wrong-doing and that the women were just old friends.

The split marks the second time the couple have parted ways within the short space of two months.

The couple first called time on their romance in May after Ianthe grew tired of Calum's partying antics.

But after weeks of fighting to win back her heart, the model eventually caved and the two rekindled their relationship.

Just days after the Celebrity Big Brother star confirmed their break-up, a source confirmed to the MailOnline the romance was back on, but it took some work from Calum to convince Ianthe to reconcile.

A inside told MailOnline at the time: 'Calum has tried everything to win Ianthe back but she's not given in easily.

'He knows she's a strong girl and she won't stay with him if he messes her around. But she loves him and she has to follow her heart,' they dished.

'They've spent time together since the split and Ianthe laid her cards firmly on the table. It's not a decision she's taken lightly.

'It was Calum who messed things up and he knows he's got his work cut out to make things good again. This is his last chance.'

Calum and Ianthe went public with their romance after his time in the Celebrity Big Brother house with the hunk even introducing her to his mother – a first for the lothario.

He told Hello! magazine: 'I've been a pretty closed book in relationships. I've kept a lot private, not wanting to let people get too close. But they got on so great.

'My mum can see how crazy I am about Ianthe, and she's thrilled that she's come into my life at a really good time because everything is positive and I'm in a really good place.'

'I have honestly never felt this strongly about anyone before or wanted to evolve a relationship as much as I do this one. And that feels really great,' he added.

Calum first noticed Ianthe when she was shooting a music video for Olly Murs' single Wrapped Up.

It wasn't long before the hunk - who has dated a string of famous women including Lindsay Lohan and Georgia Salpa - was completely smitten.
