They say love makes anything possible.

And in the case of Mariah Carey's new flame casino billionaire businessman James Packer, it certainly rings true.

The 47-year-old media magnate looked transformed as he stepped out in London on Wednesday, shunning his favoured tracksuits for a chic, nautical ensemble that showcased his slimmed-down physique.

En route to celebrity haunt Chiltern Firehouse, Australia's fourth richest man looked to have benefited from a style overhaul, likely thanks to the singer's magic touch.

News of his and Mariah's relationship first surfaced in late June, when they were spotted ambling along the narrow streets of Capri, Italy, hand-in-hand.

The Love Takes Time hitmaker accepted James' invitation to sail around the Mediterranean and the mogul - Australia's fourth richest man - has been seen fawning over the singer's four-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who joined them on the trip.

Sources close to Carey have told TMZ the father-of-three has been 'aggressively' pursuing the singer and is 'obsessed' with her music after he met her at her concert in Las Vegas in April.

It has also been claimed that Mariah and Packer are having so much fun together that marriage has popped up in the conversation already.

The pop queen is reportedly open to the suggestion of marriage, once she officially divorces Nick Cannon, the father of her two children.

'He's [Packer] already told her he wants to marry her, sooner rather than later,' a source told TMZ, while others say Carey is just relishing the attention.

It won't be the first walk down the aisle for Kerry Packer's son who has previously said I do to Australian models Jodhi Meares and Erica Baxter, now Packer.

He split from Erica in 2013 after six years if marriage. The pair share three children together, Indigo, six, Jackson, four, and two-year-old Emmanuelle.
