There might be more than 20 years between them but Rachel Hunter and her look-a-like daughter Renee Stewart looked more like sisters on a recent shopping trip.

Blessed with the same gene pool the Sports Illustrated stunner, 45, and her daughter, 23, from her marriage to rockstar Rod Stewart, cut a disarmingly similar figure as they strode along in the sunshine.

Age defying New Zealand beauty Rachel looked much younger than her years, dressed down in a relaxed ensemble of a dove grey camisole and a floaty, patterned wrap skirt.

The ex-wife of Rod showed off the results of hours of dedicated yoga practise revealing her toned arms in the delicate top.

Enjoying the chance to have some quality mother-daughter time Rachel looked relaxed with her voluminous blonde locks thrown up into a messy up 'do and a pair of RayBans in place. 

Meanwhile, natural beauty, dance student, and burgeoning model Renee looked like the mirror image of her mother.

The eldest daughter of Rachel and Rod opted for a makeup free visage for the sojourn with her gorgeous mother, revealing her flawless complexion.

Showing her off-duty style the brunette youngster cloaked her catwalk figure in a pair of ripped denims and a sleeveless cotton white T-shirt, which read effortlessly cool.

Renee has clearly inherited her mother's endless legs, and lithe body shape, as she revealed her slender pins in a pair of flats.

Echoing her mother's laidback vibe she wore her tangle of locks pulled back into a messy ponytail and slung a black tote over one shoulder, opting for a few simple gold bands on her arms. 

Renee has one full sibling Liam, a pro ice hockey player with the Washington Spokane Chiefs, as well as half sisters Ruby and Kimberly, and a half brother Sean for Rod's other marriages.

The Tatler cover girl lives in London after moving there from L.A to complete her studies.

Swimwear doyenne Rachel rose to fame in 1989 as a Sports Illustrated model, before marrying Rod a year later in 1990 when she was 21 and he was 45.

They separated in 1999 and their divorce was finalized in 2006.

Veteran rocker Rod  was forced to apologise this week after posing in a £1,795 sealskin jacket in Canada ahead of his gig headlining a Newfoundland festival.

The ageing rocker, 70, sparked outrage from anti fur campaigners, causing the Sailing singer to say he regrets not checking what the coat was made of and was 'upset' to learn the the image was being used as an advertisement for a process 'he does not know much about and certainly does not support.'
