Amy Schumer reveals she sent lewd sex text from Katie Couric's cell phone to news vet's husband John Molner (and luckily she saw the funny side)

Amy Schumer seems to enjoy getting into a bit of trouble with veteran celebrities.

When appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday evening, the 34-year-old actress admitted she played a prank on Katie Couric, 58, when the star left her cell phone on a dinner table at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in June.

'She left her phone open to texts from [her husband John Molner]. I picked up her cell phone, just without even thinking, to text him, "I wanna have anal tonight." And I sent it,' the Trainwreck actress revealed.

Couric, who used to co-host The Today Show with Matt Lauer and is a seasoned news reporter, took it all in stride.

'Katie comes back like 90 seconds later and her and her husband are like, "So...we're leaving.'" Like, "I don't know why he wants to leave,"' said the GQ cover girl.

Amy added, 'She loves humor!'

She likes to be outrageous: The blonde said, 'She left her phone open to texts from [her husband John Molner]. I picked up her cell phone, just without even thinking, to text him, "I wanna have anal tonight." And I sent it'

Slip into a strapless Roland Mouret dress like Amy Schumer

Like Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig and Tina Fey, Amy Schumer has definitely earned her place as a Hollywood comedy genius. But aside from wry one-liners, the blonde beauty also has some pretty cool style credentials - just look at her killing it on the Jimmy Fallon show!

Summer is a time for embracing a dazzling white hue and what's more luxurious than slipping into an ivory dress from the king of tailoring himself Roland Mouret? At least, that's the thought process Amy must have had when she donned this gorgeous strapless 'Electra' frock. We love the elegance of the pleat neckline and midi length, and styled with these Givenchy heels (buy below) we're in monochrome heaven!

So if you want to join the Mouret gang (alongside the likes of Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and countless others) click the link (right) to browse Roland Mouret's current collection at Neiman Marcus.

While Amy's white dress is now sold out (we know- DEVASTATING news)- you can still purchase the same silhouette in turquoise or shop similar Roland Mouret styles.

The TV stand-up then said, 'I didn't even think. It just happened. It happened so fast. I show Mindy [Kaling] and I go, "Look what happened!" She's like, "What do you mean what happened? You did that! You just did that!" I show [Stephen] Colbert and he is on the floor laughing—like, on the floor.

Turns out it was love at first sight for Amy and Katie.

'When I was at the Glamour Awards, Katie Couric comes up. I love her. And she was like, "I just love you. I love humor,"' recounted the blonde. 'So Katie's like, "I'm going to sit next to you at dinner."'

Amy was not the only celebrity at her table either.

'It was a good table,' allowed the star.

'It was Colbert—Stephen Colbert—it was Katie and me, and then Mindy Kaling. It was a sick table.'

Fallon, who recently injured one of his fingers badly, interjected, 'I want to be at that table!'

Schumer replied, 'Everybody wanted to be at that table. I wanted to be at that table, and I was there!'

Oddly, Katie did not know her husband was going to be at the event and was not even sure she should say hello to him.

'Katie is like, "Oh, my God! My husband is here. He wasn't even invited. This is so embarrassing." They're newly married, I guess. "Should I go talk to him?" Like, I don't know, Katie Couric!' relayed Amy.

That is when Couric went off to say hello to Molner and left her phone at the table.

The comedienne also said that she got along great with Kaling.

'Mindy and I were engaged—we never talked about it, but what I'm now thinking of is a bread-off,' she said.

'Like, we were just seeing who could eat more bread, you know? We were just kind of side-eying each other, like, "I'm comfortable in my skin! I don't care about Hollywood!" I won!'

Earlier Jimmy had asked Amy how she was adjusting to fame and noted she had been hitting a lot of 'home runs.'

'Are you freaking out at all? Are you going crazy? Are you different in any way?' asked the NBC host.

'I would say I'm handling it like a complete champion. Am I different? I've gotten better looking. My personality's different,' Schumer joked.

'Famous people want to talk to me. Well, they don't but now I'm allowed to talk to them.'
