Jumping for joy! Project Runway star Heidi Klum leads the way as stars react with delight at their Emmy nominations

It is not every day one gets an Emmy nomination.

So it is little wonder Heidi Klum was literally jumping for joy after she discovered her show Project Runaway had got two nods at the television world's premiere awards event.

While it is nominated for Outstanding Reality Programme, it was also a personal triumph for the saucy German mode as she is jointly nominated for Outstanding Reality Host along with her co-star Tim Gunn.

In a video posted on her Instagram, Heidi yelps with delight, 'We got nominated, yahoo,' as she leaps up and down next to her flamboyant sidekick.

And Tim displays his usual acerbic wit just a few seconds later when, after some low-energy dad dancing, he adds, 'I'm exhausted now.'

As if that was not enough, the triumphant reality television personality and model later posed up for a mass picture with her crew.

But they were not the only ones going overboard when celebrating their Emmy success.

Amy Schumer said she was 'ecstatic' to have been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Outstanding and for Variety Sketch Series for Inside Amy Schumer, and tweeted a picture of herself celebrating with pizza and some cans of beer.

Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey, whose Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series nod is just one of four for his popular Netflix show House Of Cards, posted an image of his character Frank Underwood holding a glass of champagne.

Derek star Ricky Gervais, who is up for Outstanding Actor in a Mini-series, used the opportunity to get political, tweeting: 'No to Fox Hunting and Yes to Emmy nomination. My bestest week ever!'

Meanwhile Tatiana Maslany was delighted to be finally nominated for her first Emmy Award after being snubbed for the last two years despite her critically-acclaimed performances in Orphan Black. She has landed a nod in the Lead Actress in a Drama category.

She told Variety: 'I didn’t even expect it at all. It’s super nice, and it feels like a nice thing for the show to get that kind of recognition, and for the fans — they’ve been so supportive and protective of us. It feels like a communal thing.

The English starlet does not believed she would not be recognised without the show's supporters.

She said: 'They’re the ones who are fighting for people to watch the show and have championed it in such a huge way. I feel so supported and so loved. It’s totally crazy to me that anyone cares if I get a nomination. It’s pretty wild.”

Tituss Burgess, 36, was overcome with emotion after being given a Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nomination for his portrayal of flamboyant musical-theater wannabe Titus Andromedon on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which also airs on Netflix

He told People: 'I was uncontrollable. I sobbed and I couldn't believe it, and I'm usually so brilliant at always having something to say.

'I already won. Being in the conversation, being with those other nominees, I already won.'

Meanwhile popular Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik managed to be boastful and modest at the same time after tweeting: 'Nominated for an Emmy fourth year in a row. Just wow. Thank you Academy for the honor of just being nominated!'

Meanwhile Veep star Anna Chlumsky, who is mother to two-year-old Penelope, said she was going to celebrate her Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy nomination with a night alone with her husband Shaun So.

She said: 'It’s kind of serendipitous that this happened today, because we already have a date night planned. The sitter’s coming and we’re going to meet up and go to a restaurant. It will be nice.”
