Dressed in uniform and wearing fake moustaches, the two men can't help but spray each other with powdered sugar from their doughnuts each time they pronounce a 'P' word.

'I punctured my pinkie while pruning my petunias,' Fallon says as he sprays his coffee all over Hader while attempting to guzzle his morning caffeine.

'Remember, we're the Point Pleasant Police Department and we speak politely to our peers,' Hader later says as he bites into a cracker, shooting bits of flakes everywhere.

They then eat yoghurt, launching cultured dairy everywhere as Hader yells, 'Capiche?'

By the end of the skit the two men are covered in yoghurt, soda, coffee, doughnuts, and crackers.

Hader was on the show to promote his new movie with Amy Schumer, Trainwreck, which hit theatres on Friday in the US.

Amy plays a woman based on herself in the Judd Apatow-directed flick as a magazine writer who grew up believing that monogamy was unrealistic.

Her romantic beliefs stem from her father, who was cynical about relationships and the longevity of love.

She lives her life free of commitment indulging in booze-fueled one-night-stands until she ends up falling for sports doctor Aaron Conners (Hader).
