Bill Clinton was spotted spending some quality time with his granddaughter Charlotte on Thursday morning.

The pair were photographed in New York City's Madison Square Park as the former president took the infant to see a kids concert.

This is not the first time Clinton has been on babysitting duty either, saying last week that he and wife Hillary were recently in charge of the tiny tyke for her parents.

Fashionable: Clinton looked very dapper for his day out with Charlotte, wearing a matching vest and pants along with an oxford and tie

Clinton was not getting any help from Hillary of Thursday however, as she was busy working on her campaign.

Charlotte's nanny did join the two, though Clinton happily held his granddaughter the entire time, bouncing around to the music of  Songs for Seeds.

Songs for Seeds encourage newborns and young children to dance and play along as they sing nursery rhymes and current hits.

The location of the event was perfect too, as it was right across the street from where Chelsea and husband Marc Mezvinsky live, in a $10.3million apartment they purchased two years ago.

Clinton also looked very dapper for his day out with Charlotte, wearing a matching vest and pants along with an oxford and tie.

Also spotted suited up for the day was Clinton's Secret Service detail.

Clinton gushed over his granddaughter last week at an event in Texas.

“[Last night], my granddaughter — 91/2 months old — for the first time when I walked to her room, [Hillary] said "Oh there’s your granddad," and she pointed right at me,' said Clinton.

'That was worth more than anything anybody had said or done.'

He then told President George W. Bush, who was also at the event, how everything he said about being a grandfather was true and it was wonderful.

Hillary shared details of her daughter's pregnancy in her memoir, Hard Choices, suggesting that the birth of her granddaughter made her think about the future of all children and had motivated her political plans.

She explained how in 2014, she and her husband got the 'wonderful news' that their daughter Chelsea and her investment banker husband were expecting a baby.

She said she was 'unabashedly giddy' at the news, she said.

'As the summer slipped away, I drove Chelsea crazy checking in practically every hour,' she wrote. 'How are you feeling? Any news from the doctor? When's it going to happen!'

But, whereas she and her husband had been disorganized ahead of the birth of their daughter, Chelsea was far calmer and better prepared with Charlotte, she wrote.

'I remember how frazzled [Bill] was when it was finally time to go to the hospital,' she recalled of her own labor .

'Lamaze recommended bringing a small plastic bag of ice to suck on during labor. Bill ended up bringing enough to fill a thirty-nine-gallon garbage bag. It was quite a sight.

'By comparison, Chelsea and Marc were much more organized and prepared.'

Last September, Chelsea began going into labor in New York City, so they headed to hospital to greet Charlotte Clinton Mezvinksy.

'Chelsea emerged, exhausted but glowing,' Mrs Clinton wrote.

'All our pent up nervous energy burst out in laughter and excited whoops, more like a couple of kids than the newly-minted grandparents we had suddenly become.

'After a while, Bill and I stepped out into the hallway to let them rest. We sat quietly, holding hands, trying to process the rush of emotions. I looked over and saw a tear in Bill's eye.'
