Ant Man star Paul Rudd goes undercover in the audience on Late Night with Seth Meyers as he sports big fake moustache

His latest film opens in movie theatres on Friday.

And Paul Rudd was in high spirits as he sported a fake moustache on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday night.

The 46-year-old actor sported the facial hair as he joined the host to promote Ant Man, starting his appearance with a light-hearted skit which saw him 'disguised' in the audience.

As Seth started his opening monologue, a rude fan was heard boo-ing and yelling from the crowd.

The ruckus started with the 'fan' yelling: 'Booooo! Enough of this crud, bring out the Rudd!', who then hilariously denied that he was Paul Rudd when challenged by the talk show host.

The audience enjoyed the playful interaction as the 'fan' - who was wearing a Paul Rudd Rocks logo t-shirt - declared he wasn't the star, saying: 'I wish I was Paul Rudd with his handsome face'.

The actor changed out of the t-shirt before appearing properly on the show in a suit and tie - but he did keep the moustache - which seemed to be inspired by his Anchorman co-star Will Ferrell's legendary character Ron Burgundy.

Paul allowed the lip trespasser to slowly fall off during his interview, before the joker fully removed it and showed off his dance moves with fellow guests.

He looked dapper as ever clean-shaven and wearing a charcoal slim cut suit and plain dark narrow tie for the rest of the show.

The star thankfully wasn't sporting the moustache when he appeared alongside co-star Michael Douglas at the AntMan premiere earlier this month either.

The star got his break playing Phoebe's boyfriend Mike Hannigan in Friends before landing the role of Brian Fantana in Anchorman.

After Antman, he will next be seen on the big screen screen in drama The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, alongside Selena Gomez.

He has two children with wife of twelve years Julia Yaeger, son Jack - 9 - and five-year-old daughter Darby.
