He's one of the world's most famous actors thanks to his turn as Harry Potter, but Daniel Radcliffe faced his toughest performance yet this week.

The 25-year-old, who shot to global fame in the movie adaptation of J.K Rowling's best-selling book, filled in as the receptionist at the Nylon office for an hour.

Kitted out with a secret microphone, Daniel is recorded as he fills the role of the magazine's receptionist Lauren - and the magazine's employees have no idea.

'Make sure you are constantly smiling,' Lauren tells the acclaimed actor before leaving him alone to man the front desk.

One woman walks in, clearly star-struck, and simply says 'woah' as she stands frozen in shock. 

Daniel explains that he's filling in for an hour and the pair shake hands before the woman tells him: 'you have great hair.'

Another man passes by and comments: 'wow, this is weird', whilst several women gather round before asking to take a picture with the star.

One man, who is clearly a huge fan of his films and plays, tells him: 'I loved you in Harry Potter, and the horse play you did.'

Some employees barely notice the actor as they stroll past, whilst delivery men arrive and depart without acknowledging the star.

'It's proving to be the hardest thing I've ever done,' notes Daniel as staff ask him for stamps, documents and phone numbers, which clearly leaves the actor baffled. 

'You might want to come back when someone more experienced is in,' he jokes.

Fellow A-lister and singer Joe Jonas even stops by the office for a meeting with one of the employees. 

'I'm very new and s***', a nervous Daniel tells him as he tries to contact the woman Joe is meeting. 'Are you from the England office?', asks a perplexed Joe. 'Yes, I'll go with that,' responds Daniel. 

Daniel can be seen rushing off to try and locate the woman Joe is here to see as Joe can be seen muttering: 'This new guy sucks.'

Before the film cuts, Daniel can be seen telling receptionist Lauren: 'I don't know how you do this, the stress of this! People come in and you just need to know what they need, it's terrifying!'.
