Brody Jenner and girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter got the fashion memo on Wednesday as his family rallied to support father Caitlyn Jenner at the ESPY Awards.

The 31-year-old reality star and his blonde girlfriend both wore all-black ensembles to the awards ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Caitlyn, 65, received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award while making her first major public appearance since announcing in April that she was transitioning to a woman.

Showing support: Brody Jenner supported his father Caitlyn Jenner alongside girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter on Wednesday at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles

The 1976 Olympics gold medal winner was supported at the event by nine of her children, her mother Esther and sister Pam Mettler.

Caitlyn's children including Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and sons Brandon and Brody all wore black outfits to the awards ceremony.

Caitlyn, who was known as Bruce Jenner before announcing her transition, went the opposite route in a custom white floor-length Atelier Versace gown.

Glasses on: Brody wore sunglasses while on the red carpet before the awards ceremony

Brandon attended the event solo as his wife Leah who is pregnant with their first child stayed home. The most prominently absent family member was 28-year-old Rob Kardashian who has been shunning the spotlight.

Brody discussed Caitlyn's transition before the awards ceremony and the differences since going public with her change.

'Night and day. Big difference between Bruce and Caitlyn. Bruce had a lot of secrets, Caitlyn doesn't,' Brody told ET.

'It's just great to see Caitlyn in such great spirits finally. Living the life that she wants to live,' he added.

Caitlyn's other children Burt and Casey Jenner also were spotted at the awards ceremony.

Jon Hamm narrated a video segment detailing Caitlyn's story before she took to the stage to accept the award from US women's soccer player Abby Wambach.
