The former couple's joint statement went on to declare: 'We look forward to putting this difficult time behind us and we ask that you respect our privacy as we move forward.'

The two were married for 10 years. Flay filed for divorce on April 10 saying the marriage has 'irretrievably broken down.'

He vehemently denied a report in May in New York Post's Page Six that the break up was the result of his affair with his 28-year-old assistant Elyse Tirrel.

Under the terms of a prenuptial agreement, March is entitled to $5,000 a month in spousal support following a divorce but the actress argued in May that it's not enough, especially as she has cut back on her career due to ill health.

She has suffered from a burst appendix and three infections, which she has allegedly claimed in court has prevented her from working as an actress.

But her estranged husband claims her health issues are caused by her decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery, according to TMZ.

The marriage between the two celebrities descended into acrimony and recrimination as they fought over money.

During the divorce March accused the chef of repeatedly cheating on her during the 10-years they were together, including a three-year relationship with one of his assistants and a liaison with Mad Men star January Jones.
