A 20-year-old Canadian woman who was 'slut shamed' after her public threesome went viral has hit back at her critics in a video of her own.

Alexis Frulling enjoyed mutually consenting sex with two male friends at the Calgary Stampede last week, and were secretly filmed by a member of the public.

Without Ms Frulling's or her friends' knowledge, the video of their threesome was posted on reddit and soon went viral.

The 20-year-old dancer and her two friends from Calgary, had been on their way to a Wiz Khalifa concert during the annual Stampede - a rodeo, exhibition and festival in the Alberta city.

The trio got the idea for a threesome and went down a 'discrete downtown alley between industrial buildings,' for some privacy, Ms Frulling told Vice.

However, their sex act was filmed by a yet-to-be-identified witness and uploaded to community news site reddit without their consent of knowledge.

It was eventually removed from the site, but not before it had been seen by hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world and - the images are still widely available online.

Entrepreneur: Since posting her own video response, Ms Frulling has found a way to turn the experience into something positive (and lucrative) and has been booking 'public appearances' in Canada clubs

Ms Frulling's identity leaked shortly afterwards when people matched up pictures and clothing on other social media sites and she received a barrage of abuse from across the globe, with many branding her a 'slut'.

Her male friends emerged from the incident virtually unscathed.

'I don't see why I should get bashed for it when the guys don't get bashed for it,' she told Vice.

'We meant for this to be just between us and our friend group, but it all backfired.'

Now the 20-year-old dancer from Calgary has taken the situation into her own hands, by posting a video called Trampede hitting back at her haters, which has been seen by nearly 3.4million people.

The four-and-a-half minute video sees Frulling address the situation, saying: 'I can't say I'm really proud of what happened, but I'm not really ashamed.

'People have asked me if I regret it - and I don't. If you regret things, how are you going to move forward with your life?

She then adds: 'Who doesn't make bad decisions?'

As of April this year it is illegal to distribute intimate images without consent, also known as 'revenge porn', under Canadian law.

As sex in a public space falls under indecent exposure, both the threesome itself and the filming and posting of the video is under investigation, Calgary police spokesman Kevin Brookwell told the Calgary Herald.

Alexis herself has taken an entrepreneurial view of the event, setting up a Facebook fan page within days of the reddit post and she has already been booked in for several 'appearances' in local clubs.
