Mickey Rourke shows off bizarre fashion choices with stars and stripes sneakers and shades worn OVER his hoodie

He made his film career comeback as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in 2008's The Wrestler.

But Mickey Rourke may have looked even more ridiculous than his pro wrestling counterpart on his latest outing.

The 62-year-old star made a few weird fashion choices while heading out for a bite to at at Cafe Rome in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

Perhaps the most unusual clothing decision from the Sin City Actor was to wear his black designer shades with the temples over his hoodie instead of tucked behind his ear.

Under the grey top, Mickey rocked a baggy dark olive green top and black joggers.

No doubt the New York native was feeling patriotic as he rocked a pair of American flag stars and stripes Adidas laceless sneakers.

The odd styling selections did not end there as he carried along a rather large Louis Vuitton monogrammed pouch attached to his car keys. 

As Mickey is known for rocking rather eccentric fashions, back in 2009 his stylist Michael Fisher commented on the actor's style in Vanity Fair: 'Mickey has that macho thing. He's is flashy and flamboyant, but it's never feminine.'

Meanwhile, Mickey's star in the acting world continues to climb with a number of films in the pipeline including action film Skin Traffik.

The movie is centred around a jaded hitman who gets back his feel for humanity amidst a dark underworld where survival is pure instinct.

The project also stars Daryl Hannah, Eric Roberts, Dominique Swain, Michael Madsen, Jeff Fahey and Allen Ford.

Skin Traffic, directed by Ara Paiaya, is set for release on October 13.

He is currently in the midst of filming action, sci-fi flick WEAPONiZED where he stars as Professor Clarence Peterson who develops a bio-mechanical weapons programme.

The scheme allows soldiers to 'swap' consciousness with a target combat terrorist while safe guarding American soldiers, but is ultimately abused according to IMDB.  It is set for release sometime in 2016.
