Brandy performs free concert with her Chicago castmates in Bryant Park... as Rumer Willis prepares to take over the Roxie Hart role

Brandy Norwood performed a free concert with her Chicago castmates in midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park Thursday.

The 36-year-old Grammy winner rocked a mega curly bob with an ultra-sheer sleeveless LBD over leggings and T-strap character heels.

The Game actress made her Broadway debut as murderous, 23-year-old chorus girl Roxie Hart in the Prohibition-era musical.

Other celebs who have taken on ambitious Roxie include Ginger Rogers, Liza Minnelli, Renée Zellweger, Brooke Shields, Ashlee Simpson, Melanie Griffith, Michelle Williams, and Christie Brinkley.

Brandy will conclude her limited run in the jazzy show at the Ambassador Theatre on August 2.

Already waiting in the wings is her replacement, Rumer Willis, who will take over Hart for an eight-week stint between August 18 and October 11.

However, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis - who turns 27 next month - will need to completely recover from a few stress fractures in her right foot.

Norwood now has her heart set on playing Harlem-style Dorothy Gale in Broadway's 2016 revival of The Wiz.

'That is a dream role for me!' the Mississippi-born belter told the Huffington Post in May.

'It's just something that I really want to experience: being Dorothy on Broadway. I've been putting it out there. So I think the word is getting out that's something I would really like to do.' 

Meanwhile, NBC's The Wiz Live is holding auditions next Monday at LA's Third Street Dance for African-American women aged 18-27 to play Dorothy.
