Love is in the air! Mesmerizing slow-motion video sees NAKED couples of all ages and sexual orientations jumping, flipping, and kissing in mid-air

  • VH1 released the promotional video for its controversial reality show Dating Naked on July 14 in celebration of National Nude Day
  • The series, which is entering its second season, sees men and women stripping down and enjoying exotic island dates in the buff
  • The clip's description on YouTube promises viewers they will 'witness romance at 1000 frames per second'

In celebration of love in all of its forms, controversial reality show Dating Naked has released a mesmerizing slow-motion video featuring straight and same-sex couples jumping up and down while completely nude.

Cleverly titled Love Is In The Air, the minute-long clip for the VH1 series shows men and women of different ages and races gleefully bouncing around in the buff. And, according to the YouTube video's description, the footage allows viewers to 'witness romance at 1000 frames per second'.

But don't expect to see any full-frontal nudity, as the women's breasts and the groin regions of all participants have been blurred - leaving only bare buttocks on display.

The commercial for the show's second season, Dating Naked: Playing for Keeps, debuted on July 14 in honor of National Nude Day.

In addition to holding hands and embracing each other as they float through the air, the couples can also be seen performing acrobatics, including flips and spins.

Others were more playful, popping bottles of bubbly and spraying each other with silly string and whipped cream.

One older pair even had a feather-filled pillow fight while mid-air.

And while the video has a hypnotic quality viewer's reactions have been mixed, with many complaining that the nudity has been censored.

'Why do people keep making stupid stuff and then blur/censor it,' one YouTube commenter asked and another person responded: 'Because society can't handle nudity and neither can youTube.'

'Title should have said...Dating Blurred...,' someone else joked while one viewer noted: 'If we can't see anything; then they're not naked.'

The first season of Dating Naked debuted last year, and similarly to its latest promotional video, the nude contestants had their genitals and breasts blurred out as they enjoyed dates with complete - and equally naked - strangers.

However, VH1's parent company Viacom ended up in hot water and faced a $10 million dollar lawsuit after failing to properly censor 28-year-old Jessie Nizewitz's genitals for one second when she was wrestling with her date during filming in Panama.

The lawsuit, which also named production companies Firelight Entertainment and Lighthearted Entertainment, was later dismissed by a New York State Supreme Court judge in March.

While the first season followed two new men and women each week, this year the show, which airs on July 22, will have two primary daters, one male and one female.

This year's stars Kerri Cipriani and Chris Aldric will be searching for love on a tropical island in the Philippines. Each week two new men and two new women will shed their clothes in the hopes of making a connection with Kerri and Chris, respectively.

At the end of each new episode Kerri and Chris will choose one of their dates to be their 'keeper' and stay on the island with them.
