She spent 14 years toiling the early morning shift as Sunrise's acclaimed co-host.

But if the 3.30am starts took their toll on the talented Melissa Doyle it certainly hasn't shown on her youthful visage.

Proving that your makeup only looks as good as the skin your in, the 44-year-old was glowing as she stepped out with a cosmetic-free complexion in North Sydney recently.

Looking dressed down in a loose-fit, navy cotton sundress that showed off her toned arms, the Seven News TV personality left her skin au natural as she hit a local supermarket.

Her complexion glowing the mother-of-two looked radiant and sun-kissed as she loaded up on healthy snacks, including plenty of fruit.

Wearing her honey blonde hair in a side-part she navigated the foyer before packing away the family goodies into her car.

Despite juggling a high-profile career and raising two kids, the Channel Seven personality looks much younger than her years, displaying an enviable figure and wrinkle-free complexion.

Days later the attractive blonde, who has lost 10 kilos since leaving the breakfast show in 2013, showed off her trim pins in a tasseled leather mini skirt, which revealed plenty of toned thigh. 

Armed with multiple shopping bags the former Sunrise host-turned-SmoothFM star enjoyed a quick bicep workout as she strode along to her car in a pair of thong sandals. 

She told New Idea she has regained her 'mojo' to lose weight post-children.

'In my 30s, I had two small children, a full-time job, house and husband, just like anybody else.

'Spending time on myself wasn't at the top of the list. But somehow I'm finding more time for me,' she said.

Crediting her newly streamlined figure to twice weekly weight sessions and daily workouts of the treadmill the former shift worker has never felt better. 

Despite stepping out of the breakfast show limelight the journalist and presenter has recently garnered attention for her sensitive handling of the Martin Place siege.

The intelligent beauty was at the helm of Channel Seven's coverage as the events unfolded and has since covered the ensuing aftermath.
