Katie Holmes seemed to be feeling nostalgic on Thursday.

The 36-year-old mother of one took it all the way back to the Nineties with a Throwback Thursday or from her Joey Potter days when she stared on the WB series Dawson’s Creek.

Holmes posted a photo of her 1998 Rolling Stone Magazine cover to Instagram where she was named ‘the sweetheart’ of the hit show.

On the vintage September 17, 1998, coverm Holmes appeared in character, looking like the sweet innocent girl next door, in cut off-shorts and a tank top as she sat on the symbolic tyre swing near the infamous dock.

Although she most likely appreciated growing up on the show and becoming a household name she is not confident that getting the entire Capseside crew back together will work.

I don't know,’ she told Yahoo Style . ‘Does it work today? I don't want them to grow up. It's kind of like your parents, they never get out of their 50's. That's where they are.’

The mother of Suri Cruise was only 20-years-old when the show first aired. Since then technology has evolved.

‘It was of a certain time. It was pre-Internet,’ she said.

Holmes was on the show for six seasons from 1998-2003, alongside James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley), Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter), and Kerr Smith (Jack McPhee).

Real life crush: Although as Joey Potter, Holmes crushed for Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), she married her real life crush Tom Cruise in 2006. The couple divorced in 2012

At the time the entire cast was young and still earning their acting stripes.

‘There was an innocence there," the Ray Donovan actress said.

Whiles she's remained relatively out of the spotlight for years, the rumored girlfriend of Jamie Foxx has been taking on smaller projects.

She joined the voice-over cast of Weinstein Co.'s English-language version of the Argentine family comedy Underdogs in 2014.

The show aired in April.
