Her age-defying body is the envy of women the world over. 

But Elle Macpherson ditched her barely-there bikinis for a more demure look on Friday to go shopping in Portofino. 

The 51-year-old model was stylish in a white dress and sun hat as she stepped on dry land with her family.

Taking a break from their luxury yacht, Elle and her billionaire partner Jeffrey Soffer were seen in a number of boutiques in the Italian coastal town on Friday afternoon. 

The couple have been sailing the Mediterranean for the past week, spending the last few days in glitzy St Tropez with other members of their family. 

After arriving in Italy this afternoon the pair were seen walking around the picturesque town, stopping in a few shops along the way.

Elle's crisp white shirt dress showed off her deep tan to perfection, highlighting the model's golden brown limbs. 

Hiding her face from the afternoon sun, the Australian model covered up in a matching sunhat and wore a pair of large black sunglasses. 

She stayed comfortable in a pair of brown flip flops and accessorised with a stack of bangles and large, gold watch.

Elle finished her look with a straw handbag which had a colourful key chain dangling off of it. 

Throughout the week the 51-year-old has put her famous figure on display in a parade of revealing swimsuits and bikinis. 

She and Jeffrey married in 2013 in a romantic Fiji ceremony. The couple have been together for six years excluding a brief separation in 2012.

Another day, another itsy bitsy bikini for Elle Macpherson. It's hard to believe she's 51, and it's safe to say we all want to be in her boat. Or should we say yacht?
