'The PERKS of breastfeeding': Bikini-clad Blake Lively shares busty picture as she thanks motherhood for cleavage-boosting benefits

She became a first-time mother seven months ago.

And Blake Lively is still thoroughly enjoying the benefits of being a parent, as evidenced by her latest Instagram shot, posted on Thursday.

The 27-year-old actress shared with her 3.4m followers a rather sexy shot of herself, posing in a bikini against a cliff-face backdrop, while revealing her ample chest.

The proud star made reference to her chest as she wrote along with the snap: 'The PERKS of breastfeeding.'

Looking fantastic in a purple halter-neck bikini top, she also showed off her new darker hairstyle - the usually-blonde beauty recently traded in her golden locks for a brunette-blonde, or 'bronde' colourway.

The Age of Adaline star also added a selection of hashtags to her post, commenting on her chic new 'do, joking that she had rice in her hair.

'#YesThatsRiceInMyHair #BlondevsBronde #BrondeJamesBronde,' she added, also referencing her daughter.

She also sported of dainty chains around her neck, and seemingly went make-up free while on her idyllic getaway.

Blake and husband Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child together in December, a daughter called James, and the former Gossip Girl star seems to have taken to motherhood like a duck to water.

In an interview earlier this year, she shared her surprise at how well she took to caring for her daughter, after previously thinking she wouldn't be able to do it.

'Just realising that it is all going to be OK,' she told Stylist magazine when asked about the most surprising aspect of becoming a mother.

'I remember leaving the hospital thinking: 'I have no idea what I am doing. I have a life in my hands and I'm not equipped to do this, because I don't have the knowledge I need to take care of the most precious, fragile thing in the world'.'

Blake admitted that the whole experience was akin to being a passenger on a plane and then being told she had to fly the aircraft.

In another chat, she also spoke about her figure, something she is so clearly proud of judging by her latest cleavage-baring snap.

Speaking to YOU magazine, Blake said: 'Losing weight is not something I have spent much time focusing on. With a new baby, it's just about eating well for her, because everything I eat goes right into her system.

'Your body goes through a lot after pregnancy and birth, so small, gentle workouts feel better.'

Meanwhile, while on her amazing-looking holiday in a mystery exotic location, Blake has been keeping fans up to date with her antics, mostly showing off her new locks - a huge change for her - as well as a silly shot of herself apparently shoe shopping.

Brighten up your winter wardrobe with a yellow maxi dress

Blake Lively has had her baby - no doubt the most beautiful baby on earth with parents like Blake and Ryan.

But here Blake is last year at the Angel Ball in New York, proudly showing off her growing shape in this fabulous gown by Gucci. It's a version of the silver trimmed styles in the luxury label's Resort 2015 collection but it was made bespoke for Blake and her bump. That little girl was wearing designer before she was even born - we have high hopes!

Blake's appearance proved that you can still work a floor length gown even when you're expecting, but for those who aren't, Blake's giving us color inspiration for our next smart event. Just because it's black tie doesn't mean we have to wear black!

In fact at this time of year when the mornings are gloomy and it's dark before tea time, a flash of bold bright sunshine yellow can be just what we need to liven up our wardrobes and our days.

So why not check out the zesty citrus shades we've found below? Style with metallic high heel sandals to complete the look.

As she has been off on her travels, Blake's husband of three years Ryan, 38, was at Comic-Con in San Diego to promote his new movie Deadpool.

And he admitted that he hopes their little girl's first word in the world isn't an expletive, as she spent a lot of time on the swear word-ridden set in recent months.

He told E! News: 'She's going to learn those words eventually anyway. If her first word is f**k, then I've done something wrong, but otherwise I think we're fine. I think we're OK.

'The second or third [word], that's fine. But the first? No. It's going to have to be mom or dad. I'm rooting for mom.'
