Kimberly Stewart goes back to her rock chick roots in skintight leather trousers ahead of reality show debut

Her father is a music legend, and she is rock royalty.

And Kimberly Stewart definitely turned to her rock chick roots for some style inspiration ahead as she headed to a dinner date in West Hollywood on Thursday.

The 35-year-old model and TV star oozed grunge goddess glamour in a pair of tight-fitting leather trousers as she made her way to Craig's Restaurant on Melrose Avenue.

Rock a tuxedo blazer like Kimberley

Kimberley Stewart is sporting one of favorite looks, a perennial that always looks edgy and chic, no matter the decade: Le Smoking Jacket popularized by Yves Saint Laurent in the '60s.

Now renamed Saint Laurent, the Parisian house is still the purveyor of this ultra-cool tuxedo blazer with satin lapels and for a few grand, it can be all yours at MyTheresa.

Thankfully, there have been a lot of Le Smoking copycats over the years and is now reproduced by every designer from Stella McCartney to Forever 21 and Zara.

So, no matter the size of your wallet, you can emulate the look. See the very structured and neat lapels of the DKNY blazer below or choose a similar design by Rag & Bone.

The fashionista accessorised her look with Ray-Ban sunglasses and a black suede handbag.

The Lost Lake actress, who has a daughter by actor Benicio Del Toro, wore her bright blonde hair in a ponytail and added a splash of colour of her monochrome ensemble with bold red lips and a matching manicure.

She kept her head down as she marched down the street on her way to the American eatery accompanied by a friend.

Kimberly's new E! reality show, Stewarts & Hamiltons, makes its US debut in less than two weeks' time.

Similar to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the E! series will follow Kimberly and the other members of her extended family in their day-to-day lives.

The show is based around family matriarch Alana Stewart and her renowned actor ex-husband George Hamilton but will focus on Kimberly and her brother Sean Stewart from Alana's first marriage, as well as Ashley Hamilton and George Hamilton Jr from her second.

Rod, and his third wife Penny Lancaster are also set to appear.

A statement released by E! earlier this year said: 'Get ready for laughs, fun and a whole lot of love from a family with a lineage only Hollywood could produce.

'The eight, one-hour episode season will follow the busy lives and one-of-a-kind family dynamics in the Brady Bunch-esque households of Alana, George, Kimberly, Ashley Hamilton, Sean Stewart, and George Hamilton Jr.'

The series premiere of Stewarts & Hamiltons airs in the US on July 26 on E!
