  • Within days he 'received creepy email from his senior with a warning'
  • The message, posted on Reddit, warns him to stay away from Julia
  • 'We're not technically dating but she will see I'm meant for her,' it says
  • Reddit users accept it may not be real but swarmed to give advice

It is never easy being the new guy in the office.

But few experiences can rival this man's introduction to water cooler politics.

Alex had bumped into his new colleague Julia a few times in the kitchen.

Within days, he received an ominous email from another staff member titled 'STAY AWAY' that is now doing the rounds on Reddit.

This is the message a Reddit user posted online claiming he received it from a senior colleague

The message, purportedly sent by a more senior employee, issues a chilling warning to 'STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM JULIA' because he is waiting for her to realize 'that we're MEANT to be with each other.'

It reads: 'Alex, I understand that you're the new guy around here, so I'm going to let you off with a warning. THIS time.'

Continuing, he describes his connection with Julia - one of lunches, daily gym sessions together, and 'countless hours texting her at night.'

'I know everything about her,' he declares, 'like all of her hopes, wants, and aspirations. Can you say the same? I don't think so.

'I know stuff you can only dream of knowing.'

He concedes that they 'aren't technically dating right now' but remains optimistic: 'she'll soon see that I'm the right guy for her.'

'I'm the type of guy who will love her and take care of her. The type who will actually spend time with her and talk with her.

'You're the type who will leave her broken-hearted.'

As with many Reddit posts, there is a strong possibility the message was fabricated as an internet joke.

However, that has not stopped Reddit users swarming to lend their advice after the so-called Alex posted the screenshot and wrote: 'I’m just trying to figure out the most amicable way to end this and let her know what he’s doing.'
