Sweat, mud and barely any access to showers.
For the hygiene obsessed or those who just don't enjoy the hassle of pitching a tent in the rain, festival accommodation can be a nightmare.
But now glamping has been elevated to an aristocratic level with revellers invited to shun the campsite in favour of a Grade 1 listed building - if they have a spare £12,000.

The 18th Century Weston Park near Shifnal, Shropshire has opened the doors to its newly refurbished three-storey Temple of Diana, in time for V Festival this August.
A group of up to six guests can hire the temple complete with staircase, colourful friezes and a butler for five-days in a special VIP package.
For £12,000 guests can enjoy VIP V Festival tickets, a fridge full of festival essentials, welcome hamper and private parking.

Laura Sullivan, who is marketing the VIP packages said: 'As a party pad there really is nothing else to compare it with.
'We have returned the temple to its extravagant roots in time for the festival.
'All of the rooms have been individually and exquisitely designed by our interior design team.
'It enjoys breathtaking views and is the perfect setting in which to unwind while still soaking up the festival vibe.'

Set in 1000 acres of formal landscaped Capability Brown parkland, Weston Park was built in 1760 by the Earl of Bradford.
It has undergone a major renovation ahead of the festival with the Temple set aside from the main House specifically for a small party to enjoy an intimate stay.
Two stone staircases link the three floors, which house three bedrooms, two en-suites and main bathroom.

This year's V Festival which takes place on August 22 and 23 has Calvin Harris and Kasabian as head liners. Sam Smith and The Script are also due to take to the stage
