Well they do call him Prime Time! Deion Sanders channels Madonna in virginal white dress as he reigns supreme over Justin Bieber in Lip Sync Battle

He made his name as a two-sport athlete on the professional level in the Nineties.

So it is no wonder Justin Bieber was no match for the highly-competitive Deion Sanders.

The 47-year-old sportsman, best known by his nickname 'Prime Time', out performed Justin Bieber at his own game on Spike's Lip Sync Battle on Thursday night as he took home the coveted belt at the end of the night.

The former Dallas Cowboys cornerback had no problem dressing in drag and taking it back to before the Baby singer's time as he moved and grooved to 1984 Madonna hit Like A Virgin for his second and final performance of the evening.

Deion dressed the part in a white top with a matching white tutu and white sneakers while completing the look with a curly blonde wig much like the pop queen's old look.

At one point right before the chorus of the song, Neon Deion got down on his knees and tried putting on his most seductive facial expressions while mouthing the words to the iconic song.

The CBS Sports analyst hit the proverbial high-note at the end of the performance as he stood at the top of a large fake wedding cake.

After the inspired performance the former professional athlete and Justin had a tug-o-war for the championship title.

Ultimately it was the two-time Super Bowl champion that came out of the contest the victor, even after a valiant effort by the 21-year-old who had performed Crazy Train.

The 21-year-old singer rocked a jet black wig and black leather jacket along with mascara and several bracelets as he did his best Ozzy Osbourne impression.

Earlier in the episode, Justin showed off his softer side as he put his heart and soul into singing Fergie‘s hit Big Girls Don’t Cry.

But the Beauty And The Beat hitmaker got more than he bargained for when he danced over to the 6ft 1ins athlete-turned-sports commentator and caressed his face as he sang the last line of the song.

Deion, who was sitting next to co-host LLCool J at a bar on the set, jumped up off his stool and glared at the hitmaker.

At a burly 6ft 1in, he towered over the 5ft 9ins hitmaker - but it was all for fun as the two were soon good pals again while sharing a laugh together.

Deion's first song was Wild Cherry smash-hit Play That Funky Music.

Show co-host Chrissy Teigen, 29, is presently in New York for Monday's Lip Sync Battle Comes To Summer Stage event.

The former model was singing along in the background during the pre-recorded Bieber episode.

She told People: 'I'm excited to see Justin's episode because in real life I was pretty blown away by him.'
