Alex Gerrard may be keeping busy while she's out in LA - but there's one little face that would really rather she was at home all day.

The 32-year-old's adorable daughter Lourdes, three, couldn't have been more excited to see mummy when she returned to their overseas pad on Friday, fresh from a stint at the gym.

Steven Gerrard's wife Alex, who uprooted her family to support the footballer and his LA Galaxy dream last month, looked lean in her sportswear as she bent down to greet her youngest.

Welcome home: Alex Gerrard was greeted by her sweet daughter Lourdes as she arrived back at their new LA pad on Friday

Lourdes - little sister to the Gerrard's Lilly-Ella, nine, and Lexie, seven - looked adorable in her summer gear; a pretty pink dress and a vest top layered over the top.

She ran out of the house in bare feet, her golden tresses flicking behind her and welcoming her mother with open arms.

Fitness fanatic Alex had evidently just been for another session at their local sports centre as she hopped out of her white ride in a long vest and figure-hugging gymwear.

Alex was keeping well hydrated, having reposted a snap of her chugging on a beer while celebrating husband Steven's first victory with his team later that evening.

The dedicated footballer's wife had been proud to support her man - with whom she celebrated an eighth wedding anniversary last month - as he braved his Major League Soccer debut.

England midfielder Gerrard, a former faithful Liverpool captain, even scored a goal on his opening game as he took to the pitch still wearing his previous team's shinpads.

And although wife Alex's arrival hasn't quite reached the hysteria that followed Victoria Beckham almost ten years ago when she accompanied husband David to play for the same team, the blonde was certainly pulling out all the stops to remain the centre of attention.

Clearly not trying to fade into the crowd, the blonde stunner was even joined in the stands by the man himself, Steven’s former England teammate David Beckham, who was with his sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

The British WAG stood out in a plunging denim shirt and a tiny black skirt, which boasted a clinched waist and a short hemline, flashing her sun-kissed limbs in all its glory.

With her blonde tresses scraped back from her face, Alex’s pride was clearly visible as she proudly watched from the sidelines.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old David went for a relaxed look in black skinny jeans and a coordinating plain T-shirt, which showed off his large tattoo collection.

Unable to his smile, the former LA Galaxy player clapped and cheered for his pal as he watched the games alongside Landon Donovan.

Steven helped trigger a remarkable fightback after San Jose Earthquakes raced into an early 2-0 lead.

His former Liverpool team-mate Robbie Keane was the star, scoring a hat-trick as the Galaxy finished in top place.

Steven made his debut for the Galaxy at the weekend, playing 45 minutes against Mexican side Club America in the International Champions' Cup.

Since relocating from England, the Gerrards and their daughters - Lilly-Ella, 11, Lexie, nine and three-year-old Lourdes - are now living in a £18million six bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills.

The 12,000sq ft mansion features an outdoor swimming pool and costs £35,000 a month to rent.

Steven is rumoured to be paid £76,000 a week, compared with £140,000 from Liverpool.
