She may play a tough detective in her upcoming TV show, but Jennifer Lopez showed on Saturday that her character knew how to relax.

The 45-year-old singer and actress was spotted on the New York City set of Shades Of Blue while she filmed a scene with a male co-star.

Wearing a tight, low-cut top and holding a glass of wine, it seemed to be off-hours for J.Lo's character of Detective Harlee McCord.

Jennifer's hair was pulled back for the scene, held in a messy but sexy up-do while she stared down the mystery man who was there with her.

Jewellery and obvious makeup were kept to a minimum while the overall costume was extremely casual.

This meant a pale grey tank top that did not appear to hide a bra or any other undergarments, making the top of Jennifer's chest was visible.

She wore the shirt with tight, high-waist blue jeans that fit the American Idol judge's curves perfectly.

Although she was not captured actually drinking it, Jennifer clutched a half-filled glass of red wine in one hand while members of the crew set up a shot behind her.

Considering how much of the upcoming police drama's leaked photos have focused on action, it was a rare treat to see Jennifer's detective in a moment of rest.

Photos taken on Friday, for example, showed Detective McCord taking down bad guys during a robbery.

With the dark heroine toting a gun and clearly dominating the scene, the bad guys did not stand a chance.

Set to premiere in the fall, Shades Of Blue is the story of a cop and single mother who gets recruited to join the FBI's internal anti-corruption task force.

Some of McCord's targets, however, are her co-workers, setting up internal conflict for the lead character.

Ray Liotta and Drea de Matteo co-star in the 13-episode series.

Even without the TV show, Jennifer would be a busy woman these days - she has a Las Vegas residency show coming soon and will return to judge the final season of American Idol.

On top of that, J.Lo is the mother to seven-year-old twins Max and Emme, her children with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
