It seems dreams really do come true for the Packer clan.

While her uncle James is enjoying the fruits of his blossoming romance with new girlfriend Mariah Carey, Francesca Packer-Barham has been brushing shoulders with one of her all-time idols.

The 22-year-old was given the opportunity to meet American actor Robert De Niro on Saturday as she sailed around Cannes on the French Riviera on a luxury yacht.

Showing off a large smile, Francesca wrapped her arm around the 71-year-old Hollywood legend as they posed on the balcony overlooking the crystal blue European waters.

Francesca dressed in a black long sleeves dress which featured a white cut-out pattern down the arms.

The granddaughter to the late Kerry Packer, added a silver studded belt around her waist.

Wearing her dark locks out and thrown over to the left, Francesca showed off her natural skin as she opted for no makeup and a large pair of black shaded sunglasses.

Meanwhile Robert, who is best known for his role on The Godfather Part II, echoed the casual attire memo with a plain blue polo and a pair of dark navy knee-length shorts.

Robert held onto his lenses with his right hand and squinted for the fan snap.

Francesca soon after took to social media to gloat about her recent celebrity meet.

'Dream Come True!!! #LivingLegend #DeNiro,' she simply captioned the picture.

Riding solo? It is not known if Francesca's boyfriend Joshua Mullane has accompanied her on her sailing trip

The brunette's European boat getaway comes just weeks after her millionaire uncle was seen sailing around Italy with his pop star girlfriend.

But while James had his flame by his side as sailed the seas, it is not known if Francesca is with or without her guitarist beau Joshua Mullane.

Last month the pair, who have been inseparable for the past few months, refused to confirm if they had relocated to her mother Gretel's $11.25million cottage in Bellevue Hill.

When Joshua was asked by The Daily Telegraph at the Gold Dinner, the 31-year-old said: 'I'll have to check what I can say about that.'
