It seems Jennifer Garner may be on the heartbreak diet following her split from husband of 10 years Ben Affleck.

The 43-year-old looked very slender when she was spotted in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday with her three children, during a morning off from filming Miracles From Heaven.

Jennifer was spotted picking up a bunch of colourful paw-printed balloons at a pet store, along with a couple of other items, suggesting they may have been gifts for a furry friend.

Still on: The actress was wearing her wedding ring

The actress, who appeared to be heading to a party with her youngsters, was still wearing her wedding ring - she is yet to remove it since she and Ben announced their plans to divorce last month.

While Ben has alternated between having his ring on and off, it has been claimed that the former couple are making the effort to keep sporting the bands for the sake of their three children.

'The kids are a big part of why they're still wearing them,' a source told People.

Despite her very slim frame, Jennifer appears on good form despite the recent break-up, and was in a cheerful mood as she left the pet store with a smile on her face.

The Dallas Buyers Club star was clad in a black dress, leaving her legs on show, and kept her feet comfortable in flat silver sandals.

Jennifer appeared to be make-up free under her large sunglasses, and wore her light brown hair down and poker straight.

Little Samuel, three, was dressed in a Spiderman costume, while nine-year-old Violet and six-year-old Seraphina dressed in casual T-shirts and summery shorts and skirts.

Jennifer has been been keeping busy on set and off, making time when she isn't shooting scenes to entertain her children, who are spending the summer in Atlanta with her.
